Just a question. How many of you gamble? Seems like quite a few. I last bet in 1997 when I actually rooted for us to miss a shot vs BC. Sacrilegious
I have a lot of fun doing it, but don't bet so much that it doesn't become fun. Just a hobby for me.

I was able to get UConn at +800 in Rhode Island earlier this week.
Hard not to like those odds and do something with it. We’re +400 to win the Big East and this pays out after a weekend potentially.

Massey has us with a 3 point win 71-68. It looks like our problem is SOS. Ours is 357 out of 363 per ESPN BPI (where we rank 30 while Oregon is 80ish). Nobody knows how good we really are yet. I guess this weekend is pretty important as far as the polls are concerned.

Agree nobody knows how good we are this will tell us a lot. Players will need to adjust to level better athletes and speed. Adamo needs to give the ball up on occasion, Andre can’t be committing ridiculous fouls there is less room versus this weeks competition for the small details not be be focused on.

Can’t wait, admittedly nervous!

DK is the biggest square book. Can’t believe anyone uses that or any those horrible books. You’re literally giving away winning percentage on larger vig and bad lines
Definitely can get bad with the vig, but you absolutely want to play at square books. Just wait until the squares move the lines.

It’s a good place to hedge and middle. Not as your primary book

I like the under at 141. Crazy because we’ve been over 80 all year, but I think this might be a bit ragged both ways today.

Courant says Oregon is very shorthanded with guards. We’ll run them ragged, I hope. Danny seems to like playing the other guys game.
Their bigs are their strong suit, Barthelemy is questionable and he is their starting SG

It's time for UConn to take care of business on the national stage. We're better than Oregon, this should be a big long weekend for us.
People nationally recognize Oregon as a brand due to their crazy uniform colors and decent program pedigree. Should get national recognition and good for recruiting

Except it is not, 74% of the tickets and 71% of the handle is on UConn.
Oof that is not a good sign then. Vegas usually knows what’s up. But we’ll see how true that actually is here.

Thanks for that info that’s my que to stay out of this one.

I think its a Big East thing too. Villanova is only giving 1.5 vs Iowa St. BE overall needs to step it up, and today is the day to do it. I see you Seton Hall and Xavier.
The Big East is having a steady but slow death.

They get recognition because the football team and womens basketball are good every year. They destroyed the UConn women a couple times in the past few years.

Actually it was a competitive game and UConn was missing 2/3 starters. Hope that helps.

Don’t have apps and not gonna download, but since this is a tournament, can you bet live on UConn to win whole tourney in CT @ Mohegan or Foxwoods?

If so, might head down there for tonight’s game and place one. Let me know thanks

No. No UConn bets in-state.

Took it on the RI Sportsbook app, but yes, essentially Twin River.

I have the benefit of working on the border of westerly to be able hop over to RI during my lunch break.
I live two miles from Cumberland, but haven’t done this because you have to go to Twin River to open the account. That’s a whole 15 minutes away. I’m waiting for Mass to get their [poop emoji] together and I’ll go to Plainville.

As for the game, I don’t think Oregon BB has a big home advantage. I expect a win, but this will be a test.

This is a huge opportunity for a statement at the national level for Hurley at this program. It’s year 5, we’ve got the horses. Go get it done and win this thing.

In recent years I would be happy with 2-1 or a competitive showing with ranked opponents. This year I think the expectation should be to win each game we’re in.
Gonna go ahead and stay we’re making that statement.
