Opening Weekend Series v. #4/#8 Louisville in Lakeland Florida (Fri. 2/15 @6p, Sat. 2/16 @3p & Sun. 2/17 @ *12:30p*)

Pumped to see how the frosh do, especially on the defensive end.

Louisville is throwing their best pitcher today. A win would be very impressive.

Dunlop having problems early in the 1st inning. Triple brings in two runs for Louisville. A missed pop up in the infield brings in a third run.

3-0 Louisville after the 1st, 21 pitches for Dunlop, including 2 hit batters, 1 unearned run.

2 errors already...Dunlop not getting help vs a top 5 team. Hope he hangs in there.

Chris Jones and company reported the Prato error as a hit. Whatever the case, that runner just scored, so it is now 4-0 Louisville with 2 out in the 2nd.

Three run homer for Louisville makes it 7-0. Looks like we will be seeing the back of the bullpen today.

Welp... Dunlop clearly didn’t have it today. Who follows?

Only thing to do is chip away and keep from getting embarrassed @ this point.

The better long-relief guys (Haus, Simeone) are probably being saved for tomorrow. With everything out of reach, I don’t think a freshman parade would be the worst idea.

Unless UConn makes a big comeback, we won't be seeing Dandeneau, Gardner, and Wallace. Probably will see Avery Santos at some point, in addition to freshmen.

Dunlop gives up a 2 run homer in the 3rd to make it 9-0. Have to think he will be coming out soon.

Another UL homer makes it 9-0... I'm tuning out. If the game improves I won't rule out coming back, but this one looks lost early. At least we won yesterday and can still win the series tomorrow.

Dunlop is really taking it on the chin. Hopefully he rebounds in a big way next week.

Mayock gives up two runs in the 4th to make it 12-1, Jimmy Wang is warming up.

RBI double by Prato makes it 12-2.

Bennett has pitched excellently but poor defense behind him, coupled by some lengthy at bats, has worked the pitch count up.

Jimmy Wang in to pitch the 6th inning. Chris Jones is relating his walk on story. Strikes out his first batter.
