Chris Jones speculating that might be his last batter faced. If so, I would expect this could be a good spot for freshman Colby Dunlop to make his debut.
 
Colby Dunlop in to pitch the bottom of the 8th. Winkel in to play 1B, Susi takes over at catcher.

Dunlop retires the side, allowing a single in the process. Also gets his first strikeout. Nice debut for the freshman. 6-1 UConn going to the top of the 9th.
 
9th inning, Prato doubles, scores on a balk. 7-1 UConn. Matt Bonvicini gets his first at bat pinch hitting for Fedko. Bonvicini gets on base by an error on the shortstop, Susi scores making it 8-1.
 
Inning ends with UConn up 10-1. Dunlop stays on the mound for the bottom of the 9th. Woodworth moves to CF, Andy Hague comes in to play 2B.

"Everybody in the dugout can play". As far as distractions and noises, you always have to love sirens going off in the distance. Or someone pounding on something right by you.

  • Isaac Feldstein recorded his first multi-RBI game of the season. In 2017, Feldstein led the team with 15 multi-RBI games.
  • Matt Bonvicini, Colby Dunlop, Ben Maycock, Thad Phillips all made their UConn debuts on Saturday.
  • Five Huskies recorded multi-hit efforts and everyone in the starting lineup recorded at least one hit.
  • Mason Feole registered his eighth career victory after posting seven wins in his freshman campaign.
UConn finishes up the Atlanta Challenge on Sunday, Feb. 18 at Georgia Tech with first pitch at 1 p.m. The game can be viewed online on the ACC Network Extra (ESPN3) or on 91.7 FM WHUS/ fm.whus.org.
 
Sweet! ESPN3 for a game we should be solid offensively in!

UCF and Rice is coming down to the wire. I hope Wayne Graham AKA the sexiest man alive can hold on.
