Top 6th, Belisario gets a 1 out walk, he is caught trying to steal 2B for the 2nd out. The UConn offense has a scoreless inning. 3-2 UConn.
 
Top 7th, Menzel leads off with an infield single, a double play ends the inning as the UConn offense has a scoreless inning. 3-2 UConn.
 
Suchy comes out of the game, Meyers comes in to pitch in the bottom of the 7th.

Top 8th, Jemison gets a 2 out single, and then steals 2B. He is left on base. 3-2 UConn.
 
Bottom 8th, Meyers hits the lead off batter. The runner moves to 2B on a passed ball. on a bunt the runner scores on a throwing error by Tirado, the batter makes it to 3B with no outs. Game tied at 3.

A walk puts runners on the corners with no outs, the runner at 1B steals 2B. A no out triple drives in 2 runs, 5-3 Kansas State.

A no out single drives in another run, 6-3 Kansas State.

Meyers comes out of the game. Shaw takes the mound.

With 1 out, the runner at 1B steals 2B and moves to 3B on a wild pitch. A 1 out double drives in another run, 7-3 Kansas State.

The inning is finally over. 7-3 Kansas State.

The last 2 years, we lead the world in plunking guys with the first pitch, including the first pitch of the game.

I better hear not one damn word of complaint out of the program when they get left out of an at large bid. Talked a big game out of changing things up and remembering selection Sunday and than went right out there and repeated their Puerto Rico debacle to start last season.

Also. They are the ones who throw Omaha around so often. We don’t have the talent for it. They looked like a mid major these games. Maybe start being realistic about what and who you are.

Disagree. Suchy. Hale. Shaw. And Meyers first inning was excellent. Things got out of hand w the overthrow and issue w the backstop. I think he will contribute this year. Excited to see Gilchrist throw.

As I said after game 1, that was a bummer.
