Stanford beating the hell outta UNLV 42-17...and UNLV reportedly lost 101-60 to UCLA in a secret scrimmage, why in the hell does elite talent continue to sign with Dave Rice?

Myles Turner moves very awkwardly, looks like he just got leg braces removed. Texas's size is ridiculous but I like our team speed against theirs.

I was never impressed with Cuonzo Martin's offense at Tenn and there doesn't seem to be much going on right now with it at Cal but this Texas defense looks elite.

Florida and UL Monroe tied at 51 with 14 seconds to go. Wow...

Anyone familiar with west virginia's team? Would love a brief scouting report.

No clue but we need to get back quickly, rebound hard, and pressure the three point line imo

In other news (I know they aren't an opponent this year) Pitt lost to Hawaii.

Be afraid of that one. The kind of athletic four that Facey could hopefully defend, but the offensive gap between the two is so huge.

Besides Juwan Staten (their equivalent to Boat, generally regarded as a better pro prospect), their guards are freshmen and JUCOS (not the acclaimed, Cassell Jr. types). Lots of bigs in the 6'9", 235-255 range. Presumable muscle there, hoping Brimah and Facey can use their athleticism to their advantage.

How'd it turn out. Couldn't watch

Florida won in OT

Very good matchup later tonight b/w Stanford and Duke, Temple and UNLV playing in front of a damn near empty Barclays Center.

let's go temple... anyone think that temple has the possibility of being the AAC's nova/st johns down the road?

You gotta think that of all the teams in the AAC, Temple has the best chance to jump a level from what they are now. Great recruiting base, close proximity to a lot of powerful programs, home games every year against UConn and every other year against Villanova, good coach, solid fan base, etc.

Than why do they suck so bad right now?

What the hell has happened to Temple basketball? I thought they were supposed to be better this year?

Watching them is like watching a team that drank Nyquil before a game. 2nd game already this year they may fail to break 50 points.

Temple looks better defensively than last year(they didn't have to do much to improve on that end) but they look like a nightmare offensively.

What channel is Duke Stanford on?

If you're Temple you had to come out of tonight with a W, UNLV is not good despite their talent level. Temple got a good class coming in, hopefully Aaron McKie can continue to help on that front, too many talented kids in Philly and South Jersey for Temple to not have skilled players on the floor. Even their guys who can score like Cummings have major flaws.

Tru TV
Thanks - I had browsed through all the sports channels on DirecTV and couldn't believe it wasn't on. ESPN usually has the channel, but it's blank. I guess they don't have a mutual agreement like they do with CBS, FS1, BTN, etc.

two things i think we'd need to control against duke, foul trouble with our bigs and the inside out game between okafor and the guards

fell asleep during the second half, but i think our guards/wings can stay with dukes and cause problems for them if we play smart and with energy

Anyone else concerned Florida might not even be ranked when we play them? They haven't looked good and already took a loss. If they get past Georgetown at the Battle 4 Atlantis they'll run into Wisconsin, then one of UNC/UCLA/Butler/Oklahoma. Could easily pick up 2 losses there. They then go to Kansas, and have games against FSU and WF before we finally get to play them.
