One of these 8 schools is unlike the others. It's amazing what UConn's athletic department is able to accomplish while on the outside of the so-called Power 5 conferences. Throw in women's lacrosse (an NCAA tournament team), Field Hockey and the annually ranked women's and men's Ice Hockey teams. Men's and Women's Track won the Big East again.

It is amazing at how many BY football fans thought AD Benedict was not up to it just because of football. Aside from last year’s improved football and the accomplishments of teams making the championship tournaments, UConn sports generally have been competitive and successful.
