Sticking on the Spartans theme, the 70-67 win in 2010 Maui when Kemba went for 30 or 66-62 win in 2012 at Ramstein when Shabazz dropped 25 are also strong candidates..

UConn-Maryland Sweet Sixteen 1995. My favorite pre-1999 tournament game. We were the 2 and Maryland the 3, but we had to spend much of the tournament listening to Dukie V talk about how the seeds should have been switched and Maryland was a juggernaut. Duke stunk that year, so I guess he adopted the Terps. They were good, but we were just too fast.

Bob Ryan's take:

2004 FF vs Duke. If you want ultimate satisfaction. We were absolutely Dead in the water. Watching us comeback with 3 minutes left and K melting down like the Wicked Witch of the west actually is my Viagra.

77-74 trumps everything. Greatest sporting event in the history of the universe, given that the Miracle On Ice was just a semifinal.

The other choices are all battling for second.

60-54 is close for me, as is the 65-60 win over Georgetown in the 1990 BET semifinals.

Given how young @3uconn is, and what a seminal (yet kind of forgotten) moment that was for the program, that might actually be the best choice. Still one of my favorite games ever, even if it was kind of ugly.

Almost have to do the Gtown-Cuse back to back in 1990. They're sort of a package deal. Toraino Walker filling in for an injured Sellers and somehow we beat the two best BE programs in 24 hours. Cuse I think we fell behind 12-0 early and shook it off.

The tough part of 3's question is that there are different types of categories - the days we were just brilliant and steamrolled someone (SJU '99, most of 2004 tourney, at Louisville before Dyson got hurt, etc.). The days we dug a huge hole and had a historic rally (down 25 to Pitt and 25 to UMass, the Gtown comeback in 1996). The games that were played at an unbelievably high level (at Arizona in OT, Maryland in 1995 tourney, or perhaps 2002 if you don't mind a loss - I didn't find the 6OT game to be very well played). For history - 1990 and 1999 have good choices, and the last 3 of the 5 in 5 days in 2011.

I assumed he meant, "other than a game I've already watched 30 times."

Although he was in diapers in 1999. Maybe he's never watched the whole thing.

Hidden gems can be found almost any year. For close regular season games, a couple I plan to see again soon are UConn at BC in 1994 (2 OT - rallied from down 19) and UConn at Nova in 2004 (OT - game saving blocks from Okafor). But they might rank behind at Arizona, at Stanford, at SJU (99) and UK in Maui for my favorites in the regular season.

One game I've still never seen: 77-36 over UVA in 1994. That one looks like it was fun. (Edit: would you believe I posted this before seeing your thread about that game - crazy odds on that!).

One great one that nobody has mentioned was the 2010 Maui Invitational final against Kentucky. That was as thoroughly dominating a half of basketball as the program has had in recent years, and it being against UK made it that much sweeter. I want to say it was like 51-28 at halftime.
