Math Witch:

10 shots for 2 @ 50% = 10 points
10 shots for 3 @ 33% = 10 points

Since I'm burning anyway, I used a < sign to indicate "less than" in my previous post. Cheers.

But you can't score 10 points shooting threes! My math skillz > your math skillz.
You can if your fouled on a + 1
I did see Dr J in the old ABA ( they had the 3 ) playing for the Nets ,trailing by 10 with about a minute to play, make three threes and and finish them off with a driving dunk to complete the comeback. I became a fan of the three after that game.
The NBA was slow to adopt the three.

Work the intermediate game Omar, stay away from the 3 point line.

... for now... He's gotta get his legs back before he starts extending his range..feel bad for this kid.. injuries put him behind... I still believe in this kid... He's one of my favs...

My apologies caw. Missed that.
Everyone is getting too serious about the math. Threes are great. Mid-range jumper is under-utilized. No team can survive with a full arsenal of shots.

CCSU could be a rehearsal of sorts for Omar. Hope he does well as I think he will get his chances.

I don't think a 15 footer is a bad thing. It can keep a defense honest in a different way. 1) with a drive and pull up--doesn't play to Omar's strengths, or 2) forcing the D to really committ on the pick and roll. Whether the bigs can actually capitalize on this is another Q entirely.
