Stef did make two free throws and a key basket down the stretch to hold off Russia. Didn't play great until the end. USA Wins Gold 18-15.

Led the team in scoring and rebounds (7 and 9, four offensive) forced the Russians into early foul trouble and only played well at the end?

By the way, if anyone is watching the mens game one of the players for ROC blew his shoe, like Zion Williamson did in the NCAA tournie. He taped the shoe together and is playing with it taped up.

Yes! And Stef did it w/out committing a single foul in her entire career (with which she agreed). Word most often heard from Dolson: "What?!"
When Geno was asked why he recruited Stef, then a big, slow, overweight, out of shape freshman, Coach said he wanted her because she was "tough." She gets knocked down and she hops right back up said Geno.
Somehow Dolson became one of the most important players on the team, the person through whom the offense ran. She was a superb passer, and, with Kiah Stokes, formed a near impenetrable wall on D. Now: a golden girl.

Agreed. Every time Big Momma Steph stepped onto the court, she was serious, focused and determined. She was too hot to handle, and too cold to hold. Congratulations to Steph, Alisha Gray, Kelsey Plum and Jackie Young. USA Gold medalists. A distinction that can never be removed.
