Terribly coached game. From bizarre start to lack of play call at end of game. What was that. A game we should have won. This was not a game dedicated to just Ryan Boat right. We needed a win.

27.8% shooting is not on Ollie. Getting outrebounded by a team missing its best post player is not on Ollie.

It was so stupid to not go fast for the final play. Atleast give yourselves a chance for a follow up

Coached plenty of games like this. You don't let your own guys kill you.

I'm not sure what coaching had to with countless missed shots at the rim, Purvis being completely MIA in yet another game at Gampel, or DHam either not trusting himself to make an open jumper or missing them when he finally does take them. The team just missed way too many easy shots tonight, it was ridiculous.

disappointing considering how they played in the middle of the game to get back into it.

There is not a true second scorer that can be counted on. That is an issue and has been one all year long.

Coaching does have something to do with this! They shot jumper after jumper after jumper. Memphis was in foul trouble and the game should have been a double digit victory had we kept going inside. Boat was also making some dumb decisions

He's not the one shooting the ball.

Unless any of us were in the team huddle and know what instructions were relayed, the random speculation is meaningless. Don't presume we know more about coaching at the D1 level than Ollie. If you don't like him go become a Providence fan.

Has not much to do with a second scorer. Boat made some not so smart plays in second half and the team kept shooting jumpers. Why not keep going inside since Memphis was in foul trouble? SMH

Remember last year when he would stand up all game and play virtual defense on the sideline? Haven't seen any of that energy this year all I see is him sitting with his hands in his face every single game

Ollie's quick hook on DHam a minute in and the five minutes of Dan Guest are November coaching moves for a guy trying to send a long-term message. Ridiculous to go with that nonsense today.

We also got nothing out of timeouts late, and we didn't get into our offense soon enough for 2 for 1 - although we got the second possession anyway.

Not his finest day.

You weren't watching on Sunday apparently. Try to be accurate when you make blanket generalizations.

Playing Dan Guest though? Come on
That was pretty bad, it felt like during that time span Memphis hit 3 jumpers where he was either late or nowhere to be found on rotations. TSam was terrible himself before he got pulled but in a game of importance like this you can't be playing guys like Guest extended minutes.

I feel like Ollie's intensity fluctuates with how the team listens and responds to him. During the SMU game he was off his chair, slamming clipboards, throwing markers, yelling, etc. The team listened that game...although it does help to hit your shots.

Ollie is responsible for assembling this team. He is in charge of preparing them to come out ready to play. There are wins all over the place in this conference...even for a team apparently so flawed as ours that we cant' even take care of an NIT memphis team without their best player at home on senior night.

I saw Caron's first team in 2001 that made the NIT. They would have won every game against AAC competition with the exception of maybe at SMU and Cincy. That is how bad the talent is at UConn right now. That's on the coach. Even worse when you consider it's basically a Jalen for Boat trade next year when in reality we need an influx of new talent.

Well Memphis is countering that. They pack it inside and down low, daring us to beat them from the outside. Well - we could not knock the shots down. That is what I think happened. That is what I would do against UConn. We should have taken the dare and play with confidence. Instead, we hesitated, and questioned our shot selection.
