Why? He didn't really do well in New Jersey. Will coaching at Pelicans really be any different? I guess Pelicans are reaching for straws.

I haven't been keeping up. How is KO's relationship with UConn and UConn BB? Is it mended or no? I'm sure him and Calhoun will always be good? How about him and Hurley?

I don't know for sure but I doubt it's ever been fixed between Calhoun and Ollie. It's sad.
If they want their tank commander, Ollie is more than willing to do it. If they want to win games...tbd.

Sad but understandable considering Calhoun is a tough Irishman. At least former teammates of Ollie like Ray seem to have good relationships with UConn.

Ollie burnt a lot of bridges how he acted at UConn and dissociating himself from Jim Calhoun including severing all ties to his coaching staff. It was sad that Ollie's ego got the best of him.

Not mended overall, but Hurley is fine with him and would welcome him if he wanted to come around. There’s an on the record quote out there somewhere, but Hurley appreciates what he added to UConn as a player and what it takes to win a national championship. There’s only one specific thing Danny was ever upset about with KO, but that’s in the past now.

For headcoach?? He doesn't deserve the chance as there are probably tons more qualified for the job. Unless it's as an assistant down the ranks a bit. He should have to work his way up the ranks. He had a shot for a few months with the Nets and went 10-18, meh
