All things remaining constant, I really think we are the dark horse in the Josh Perkins race. If UConn gets him on campus for a visit, hopefully that'll tip the scale in our favor.

I'm resisting the urge to say this is the most important recruiting class to date...

...ok, I said it.

But this is a huge first step in either continuing Calhoun's legacy or watching it fade.

I breathed a huge sigh of relief when Hamilton committed. If we even get one more of the '14 kids listed above we'll have staved off PCdom for one more year.

Yup. That's the Hamilton, Chatman, Rabb, Oubre, and Thomas group.

Well a decent percentage will sign in the Fall signing period, which starts in November. So you have the live period in July where coaches are on the road, and then typically a ton of visits from August - October.

the reason he cut duke is why i think it will come down to us and ucla. hopefully he see's that kentucky is not making him a priority, hell he's not even 2nd on kentucky's list at pg. but anyway, please come to uconn! when shabazz leaves, we don't know what we have in TS. he more of a sure thing

Another update on Oubre, who says he will cut his list again before the start of school.

“Coach Ollie’s a young coach,” he said. “He’s been there, done that. Everything. He’s a genuine guy. I like his style of play. He has a young team so I know they like to get up and run.”

Staff is splitting time right now. Ollie watched Larrier, Carrington, and Colson while Miller watched Joseph and Okonoboh.

Hopefully they make a push for Okonoboh. I don't want to rely on Abu or Black to commit because it doesn't seem like we are clearly in the top 2-3 for either of them. Keep up the good work 3uconn.
