2026 Recruiting: Olivia Vukosa

And, the entire family made the trip to Austin, TX

Thank for the update, southie! It looks to me
that the whole Vukosa family is enjoying their
current vacation tour of the USA (Texas). I enjoyed the
smiles on the Vulosa girls. Did anyone notice the
"like" from Kayleigh Heckel??? I trust that the
final stop in the "tour" will be in Storrs!!! Z

Did I miss Vukosa eliminating Kentucky and North Carolina, or is this info inaccurate? Most of article is Subscription.

Olivia's final 5 schools are LSU, Texas, Ohio State, South Carolilna, and UConn.
I don’t know what Olivia thinks about stuff like this. But I have a hard time picturing a NYC kid finding anything attractive about the LSU area. Of course, Storrs is not so easy to picture as an attractive location to a city kid other than being not too far from home.

I think that the "attraction" to Olivia and the entire Vukosa "family"...
is the entire UCONN Basketball "family"! Olivia, bring those smiling
Vukosa faces to the smiling faces in Storrs! I'm smiling as I
just THINK of it!
I assume that the next stop on the VUKOSA FAMILY
TOUR of the USA will be in Louisiana (LSU), then South Carolina
(USC), and then returning "HOME" to the Northeastern USA!!!! Z

Hank South works for 247 Sports and from his posts he covers the SEC and Texas specifically. His daughters went to Texas. I thought Vukosa's father gave a great answer. Most recruits and their families are polite to their hosts, who treat them like honored guests.

She wants a title? How's 2 years playing with Strong sound? Like a title?

How is this not as plain as day to the Vukosa clan? The thing about superstars like Sarah and Azzi (and Paige) is that they make room for other talent. They don’t make everyone else play in their shadows. They let people stand on their shoulders. After a year at USC I suspect Kayleigh understood this, especially having seen it up close in the two games she played against UConn.

I didn't read the pay article. If that is her only priority, then she knows coaches like Geno, Dawn, and Kim have multiple. But, then why is she considering Ohio State and Texas? I'd say she has more than one priority. Not sure of her family's financial situation, but NIL becomes a high priority for some families.

I'm still surprised she had 4 SEC teams in her final 7, and 5 teams in the South.

After seeing all her very young siblings in those photos, I don't think she'll go far from home for college. Probably wants them to be able to watch her play in person, and to make visits back home often so she doesn't miss watching them grow up over the 4 years she spends in college.

The idea of having a VERY close relationships with one's siblings reminds
me of Elena Delle Donne going to Delaware. Elena needed to be close to her younger sister (clearly it was an emotional need for Elena!). Olivia's family ties
might be a similia reason for her decision to be closed to her family (as noted
by "southie" (above # 287) and
to become part of another VERY close-knit family = UCONN
Basketball! Continue the National 'family' tour, Olivia.... The final
road leads to Storrs.

Loving Kayleigh 💙
