When you have 25 ounces of Rolling Rock to get through, the health of the chickens' before their demise is not a top of mind concern.

It tastes like someone brewed a beer, that beer died and then Rolling Rock put its ghost in a can.

Unfortunately Rolling Rock is no longer brewed “in the glass-lined tanks of Old Latrobe” but from 2006 until 2025 in the industrial heart of Newark NJ., after Anheiser Busch bought the label. I don’t have any idea where it’s brewed now, but it ain’t Latrobe.

The 1999 version was a clean, crisp lager that drank smooth, particularly ice cold. Now? Good luck with that. Taking one for the team, hat tip!

This can be read in two ways: (1) you have 45 minutes to chill your bottle of swill; or (2) you have 45 minutes to soldier your way through a warm bottle of piss-flavored water.

If the wings are hot enough and the Rolling Rock is cold enough, you eventually get to a point where you become allies against the wings.

It's the bad beer version of a runner's high.

Central and Western PA used to make some of the worst beer on the planet. Rolling Rock was clearly the best of its kind. I'm just glad the Boneyard didn't choose Yuengling or Iron City.

I spent 3 years in State College and my associations with Yuengling are much worse than RR. The whole campus jokes about Yuengling gas. It's bad.
