Okay- How Many Times Have You Re-Watched the Final 4 and Championship Games?

thx. I have created a Paige Uconn history of all her games from her Freshman year to her senior year. this year was the hardest because my usual source on YouTube, MJL243, stopped uploading...but thx
SNY got cranky about enforcing their copyright and was asking anyone that posted their product on YouTube to stop. I don’t know why SNY doesn’t offer access to their games for a fee.

Last night I rewatched the Oklahoma game. What a performance by Paige in the second half, especially the 4th quarter.

Twice each for the replays. Add the live view to that.

Aaannnddd... each time I re-watch the FF game I get to yell at the refs all over again over the crap-tacular call against Jana at 8:45 in Q1.

I haven't kept count but it's at least 7 or 8 times.

I love the DVR.
I recorded all the UCONN NCAA tournament games on my DVR (I have Spectrum). For some unexplained reason, all the NCAA games have disappeared. I certainly didn't erase them. Anyone have any idea why that happened?

I re-watched the OU game last night as well. Then when I couldn't fall asleep, I got up at midnight and re-watched the February SoCar annihilation. That makes the third or fourth time since the Huskies won #12.
Now,as far as the OP, I will most likely be watching the Semi-final game against UCLA, for the first time since the Final Four, Thursday evening.

So far, 1 and 1. In just rewatching the UCLA game, I remembered why Azzi Fudd received the award for the best player of the tournament, but I would still vote for Sarah Strong. Was impressed by El Alfy’s game. She got called for a couple of cheap fouls but hung in very well against Betts, scored 6 points, rebounded well, and played sound defense. If we did not rent a big for next season, I think that we will be OK with her and Ice Brady.

Glad that Ducharme got to play a few minutes in both games, but she is just the shadow of the player she was as a freshman. We can hope that with a summer or work outs that she can be in the mix next season. Our other injured players Ayanna Patterson and Morgan Chelli are also question marks. Patterson has never been healthy. All we can do is hope for the best.

As has been pointed out in other posts, the team will need a third scorer and there are several possibilities, but whether it is Shade, Quinonez, or someone else. I am already looking forward to seeing Sarah Strong as a sophomore.

watched the Semi and Final about 4 times each and sure to watch it many more times in the coming months :)

I've watched the final game a few times and the regular season South Carolina game a couple of times.

Lately I go to the stretch from when Geno called the timeout at 50-39 in the third quarter to the 80-48 mark with about four minutes left. That was an incredible stretch of basketball, a clinic on both ends and from the coaching box, using the "small" lineup and four of the five - KK, Shade, Azzi and Sarah - are back!

2 x UCLA; 3 x SC
Correction: 3 x UCLA; 4 X SC

Rewatches can be enlightening. Ashamed to admit that I always thought Azzzi and Paige were the same height. Some close ups of the two demonstrated how wrong I was.

In the past, I found the Stewie era games the most satisfying to relive;
No more...

Starting with South Carolina game in mid-season, the absolute dominance, artistry and facility of this team has provided the most intense satisfaction, that I relish, will re-live often (and already have).

And that is not to ignore the unsurpassed coaching, that put them into that winning position.

This evening I watched both games of the Final Four, the first replay for the UCLA game and at least the fourth replay of the Championship game.
I have completed my schedule for replays that I stated in my first post in this thread (post #6).
I have also added every UConn NCAA Tournament game for this season to my YouTube playlist.

I'm on my 6th time of watching UConn's NCAA run. Last night I watched Arkansas St and South Dakota St., tonight it will be at least Oklahoma and USC. Just love YouTube because most of them cut out the commercials and the halftime chatter.

Same thing happened to me.

Probably 7-8 times- it’s that enjoyable! And I’m amazed at how many times SC players would hurl themselves at Sarah Strong- they seemed to not have any other strategy other than making contact, Remember the play when Sarah got hit in the mouth from the SC player who careened into her? Refs all game long called the foul on Sarah too- those should have been offensive fouls

I have re-watched the FF games multiple times. UCLA 3X, SCAR 4X. I’ve also just watched the 2022 NC game for the first time. And I’ve come to the realization that SCAR deserve to win that game, because they were the better team, and they played that way. And likewise, in this year’s game, UCONN was the better team, and they showed the world how to play great team basketball.

Congrats to my favorite team for winning the NC. You outdid yourselves! You did your school, and the State of Connecticut proud! You did your fans proud! And you did the BY residents proud!! We love you so much, and are happy for your success!!
Also, I must congratulate SCAR on its great season. You came up short against UCONN, but that loss shouldn’t diminish your season. You will do great in the future.

Have a great summer everyone. Be safe, have fun, see you next season!!

I've watched everything twice so far,. It seems to me the most interesting games to watch were South Dakota (UConn had trouble at the start and players made some exceptional plays throughout) and UCLA (what a beatdown of the supposed #1 team). I found the two Big East games kinda boring (and I saw them at Mohegan Sun). Arkansas State was a team that was never even in the game. The South Carolina game was gratifying, but not as much fun to watch as UCLA. I mean, you can get a kick out of watching Dawn Staley look like she just sucked on a pickle so many times, right?

A bunch. But I have maybe even watching the game against ucla more. It is real easy with ESPN+.

I just watched the championship game for the first time yesterday. Knowing the outcome and seeing some highlights still didn't ruin it much. Lol. One big takeaway is that the box score didn't do anyone justice. For instance, I thought Paige played a real good game. She missed some open threes she normally makes and also had a couple unforced turnovers, but she was pretty active. She had some really nice shots in the first quarter when the game was close and got to the free throw line. The underrated thing about Paige is just how hard she plays and competes. Also seeing the moment between coach and Paige, it's so touching each time.
Similarly, I thought Kaitlyn Chen for the first two quarters at least was super solid, but when u see 1-7, I was kinda bummed out. But I loved all season how she pushed the pace, I thought she did that off misses and even when sc scored. She had an absolute dime to Jana and Jana had a nice finish. She hit Paige on a couple backdoors where she got fouled or had quality looks. Additionally I thought Ashlynn played really well, she was everywhere, and hit the huge corner 3. I also loved KK being aggressive and using her speed. Azzi and Sarah were unbelievable. I had seen the highlights but they both hit tough shots. They played a little two man game together, just fun to watch. I also loved Caroline getting in the game. South Carolina was tough as well. They made little runs when even knowing the outcome I felt a little antsy lol. But 2 things in conclusion. As good as UConn played and I saw Paige say this after the UCLA game and others echo, I kinda think they were still peaking and getting better. Like I think this team was probably better and more talented than the record indicates. I kinda felt that way all season.I know hindsight is 20 20. Lol. I think Lobo mentioned during the game, like they lost all their games that were within 10 points with 6 minutes to go this season. Which means they did have a lot of blowouts. And then the games they did lose were basically without Azzi. The only loss that is the outlier was the Tennessee loss which I know ppl were down about. I honestly was on the fence. It made me think Tennessee was really good and probably could beat anyone. But I also thought it was a weird game cuz Azzi got in foul trouble and sat so long in the 4th. I think they improved a lot defensively from that game. Second conclusive point after watching the game is I wonder if SC feels that's a different game with Ashlyn Watkins. They are competitors too. I loved Geno's quote about teams not beating the real UConn recently. I'm sure Dawn is saying some of the same things as motivation. The tough thing about that is I felt like Edwards and Feigan actually played ok, I kinda felt like the guards let them down. And then similar to the first point I actually thought UConn could've hit more shots. Like they were kinda lucky the team only scored 82.

I watched it yesterday afternoon before everyone arrived for Easter dinner. The two passes on the fast break, one tap pass by Paige to KC and the other touch pass by KC to Sarah were Greatest Plays in UCONN Women's Basketball worthy. Good name for a thread.

The UCLA game was interesting- UConn really overwhelmed them. Betts got spooked by the 3 second call early, and much of the game she wasted too much time setting picks up high when she should have been hanging out down low. The UConn defense was super quick to cover outside shooters when Betts would pass to them- if that in & out game was their normal strategy, they had no plan B. With the SC game, that defensive sequence late in 2nd quarter when was Kitts absolutely smothered and throws a wild shot behind her head in vague direction of basket, and then next time down KK torturing the SC guard who hoisted another desperation shot attempt, were so satisfying to watch.

Your assessment here is very clear and concise, and reading it, allowed me to mentally revisit the NC game. I also believe that the game itself would’ve been more intense had Watkins played, but UConn would’ve still won. They were that determined to end the drought — to SCAR, and hoisting up the NC trophy.

The UCLA game just once, so far. The NC game twice. I also have the beat down of SC on their home court recorded and have watched that three times.
