68-67 Ok St up with a lil more than a minute left on ESPN, great game so far

Want to root for the upset, but also don't want to root for the NBE.

I don't mind the new schools, its the old guard that annoys me. Plus I want to see Smart take an L to ease up the media knob slobbing.

The Butler misses 2 with a chance to take the lead with 8 seconds left. Terrible last possession by Butler. He has to get that shot off a lot quicker. Do a crossover or something to get the defender on his heels.

That is why they play the games.

Wow, such terrible execution down the stretch by both teams. Missed free throws galore and atrocious shot selection.

Assuming Memphis beats LSU, I'm intrigued to see that rematch. The OK St team that played today is very beatable, especially on a neutral court.

In my mind, the NBE brought in Butler, Creighton, and Xavier in an attempt to solidify the top of the conference. They need solid OOC wins by those teams.

I think Butler is going to disappear pretty quickly from the national stage without the large national programs carrying the league and without their young "coach of the moment" who jumped ship.

Marcus Smart is incredible but OK St seemed a bit undisciplined. A lot of low percentage shots early in the shot clock with a comfortable lead let Butler back in it. Nobody could make a foul shot.

Butler was already a good program with tourney moments before Stevens. I don't see national championship game appearances in their future but I think they'll will remain a solid program going forward that will be tourney caliber on a consistent basis.

Marcus Smart was incredible right up until the game got really tight. At that point is started chucking some horrendous shots, one of them being a 3 pointer about five feet behind the NBA line, and had a huge turnover very late in the game. And then there were 3 missed free throws in a row when the game was on the line, none of them even close to going in.

Being a front runner is great when, you know, you're in front by a comfortable margin. Not so much when the game is on the line. Not everyone can be Shabazz :)

I'm not sure either team deserved to win that. Some of the worst basketball I've ever seen in those final two minutes.

It's only one game. Napier was lights out against IU; however down the stretch he took a horrendous deep three and committed an obvious charge. Having said that, I'd take SN over Smart. He's been through the wars.

Okie Lite has some talent, but unfortunately for them they also have Travis Ford as their coach. I would put Ford in a tie with Rick Barnes for second worst coach in the Big XII conference. Scott Drew of Baylor is the runaway #1 worst coach, but Ford, while not really that close, is in the same zip code as Drew.

Smart has a ton of talent but I think he is playing with fool's gold when he suddenly thinks he will be a consistent shooter from three-point range. Remember that one series of Miami against Boston when DWade was unconscious from three, particularly that one game that went to overtime?....that didn't mean that from then on DWade would become a three point specialist. I think the same thing will happen to Smart...he may end up,a few % pts. better than last year but I don't think the 3 pt. shot will be the hallmark of his game.

Did anyone watch Dunham on Thanksgiving Day for Butler.......kid was throwing everything in, rim looked like a lake to him!

Marcus Smart is the real deal. I know he doesn't wear our uniform, but the kid can play and will be a handful against every team that they play. Sure he's flawed but who isn't?

Not many other opposing players out there worth watching but he is one. Plus he's not a freshman.
