I don’t throw the word misogynistic around lightly but I think it applies here

Personally, I thought it was a reaction to the Bedaiko situation because of the negative response his lawsuit has received in the media. A cowardly way to cover their bases to "prove" the rule applies to all.

Note that the NCAA was opposed to allowing him to play. Alabama simply found a friendly judge, who doesn’t understand the issues or doesn’t care. That’s basically the same way many of these ludicrous changes have come about.
A very friendly judge who has links to Alabama as a donor and I believe his wife is defending the player who is currently on trial for another case.

Ok, I'm just going to highlight this one line from the article:
  • "Roberts is a donor to the University of Alabama and therefore biasness could affect the outcome of this case."
Anyone see the problem? And this is from a publication with the word 'college' in its name.

I know, it's nitpicking. But there are lines that shouldn't be crossed, grammatical lines!

Yup. And the NCAA always does this "examples" and "proofs" against a lower tier team and never a top tier or even Top 25 team. KSU is 11-10. The old Big 12 saying was "Kansas got caught cheating again, we must take action. Prepare sanctions against Southeastern Wichita State!"

AI don’t

Case in point, UConn freshman Blanca Quinonez played in a professional league in Europe, although as an unpaid amateur. But, if the NCAA wanted to, it could declare her ineligible.

Did Blanca sign a contract? That seems to be the issue. Heal won't start playing until long after she leaves Kansas. I don't know how the Italian leagues operate, but since the high school students aren't paid, there may not actually be a formal contract involved.
