Small margin of victory over a mediocre team (even after this game, they’re right below Yale.) The drop is deserved.

Mediocre? They played out of their minds in the first half and they have talent, I’ve been reading here every day how terrible English has been but today you wouldn’t know it.

I think Providence will get some decent wins here and there. Inconsistent team but there’s definitely talent there. Wonder if Hopkins ever comes back though.

Go on their board and you'll read a lot more of it

English has a good game plan and they executed it for about 28 minutes. As with most of our opponents so far, this was probably their best game of the year.
As was noted often in the broadcast, this is third time English had a big halftime lead and blew it.

With Hopkins out they don’t have a lot of weapons. They played hard and well today. They certainly played harder than us, as the rebounding shows. But they didn’t have the firepower to hold on.

Some people seemingly don't understand competition, emotion, circling a game, giving a team your best shot......

They measure everything by the gambling line

Great game Huskies, toughed out another win against a team who came in with no fear and desperately wanting to beat you

The announcer (not Donnie) kept calling Alex Captain America. I don't think I've heard that one before but I like it.

Noah Eagle. Ian Eagle's son. I was wondering where he got that name. I've never heard anyone call Karaban that either.

Speaking of Noah Eagle, if you didn't see his impression of him and his dad arguing you need to watch this. Only 21 seconds. Hilarious.

He's easily the worst coach in the conference. His team is 7-8 in year two, bound for another NIT at best. He runs no offense, we couldn't stay in front of a chair in the first half. In his first 3 seasons as HC, he's had 1 NIT appearance, losing in the first round, and this season will be no departure.

It's a mystery for me how he got to the Big East level so quickly, a Rick Barnes Rec can't be worth that much?

I'd almost like to see us rescue Pierre or the freshman center from CT, cause I think they have some talent. Either way there's little chance either sticks around after a second straight NIT.

He's also a contributing factor to the Big Easts fall off, Cooley left him a solid foundation to make tournaments, Providence being good would be awesome for us in particular, and the conference. Instead he's got them trending down.

10 years from now he could develop into a fantastic coach, especially because he's so young. But he needed more time at George Mason to figure out the winning formula, or as an assistant learning from someone great, like Barnes.

Has anyone ever sounded more like their parent before? You coulda convinced me we perfected cloning technology the first time I heard Noah call a game, it's uncanny.

You may have noticed that every team is doing the same thing and their game plans are all the same “driving on not good on the ball defenders”. Those are Hurley’s words today not mine.

Yep. Hurley's presser was very telling. Think he was calling out AK without saying his name. Tough game on D for him today, especially in the first half. Just kept taking him to the rim and scoring.

Is Barnes any better than YouTube or ChatGBT these days? Hell Oates hired a consulting firm to help him. I’m not sure good coaches need more tutelage with all the resources out there these days. Coaches need to be resourceful as part of their job.

He’s great on the mic and kids seem to gravitate towards his “aura” as a young relatable guy. XOs he’s definitely no maestro, and he runs a stagnant offense in a day where spacing is everything.

Oates had 4 years at Buffalo before grabbing the Bama job and the top overall seed in year 2.

Good coaches figure it out and figure it out fast.

Diarra said he calls him that last year during the tourney run
