Yeah, this picture is weird. You can see the skin wrinkles differently in a near-perfect rectangle, which seems to indicate decal, but you can also see redness around the ink, like a real tattoo. Maybe the artist made a stencil which is applied like a temporary tattoo and traced over it?

I'd venture to guess that approximately 0% of tattoo artists would pick up on that mistake if a client came to them with that request.

It's a real tat. It's just brand new. The plastic looking cover is the clear bandage. You can see the red irritation on the edge of the tattoo. It's pretty cool other than the mistake

3 colors, probably took 2 hours. Maybe 3. Not terribly complicated, but it's good work. Probably cost $400-500
