Good game (on ESPN) - few seconds before half time with two kind of bruising teams and neither is in the bonus. Oh, how I miss that.

The rule changes have not worked well. They have not made the game better. NCAA has to back off some or at least give the defenders some benefit when they don't use their hands and get slammed by the offensive player. I've just seen the O player bang directly into the D player who isn't using his hands and the D player gets called for a foul far too often.

Anyway - good game if you haven't nothing better going on.

Izzo just gave the best halftime interview ever. When asked what issue he has with the refs that made him so angry, he answered "a lot!". Interviewer did 't quite know how to handle an agitated coach and the commentators were loving it. Priceless.

I really like the restrictions on bumping cutters and grabbing players of the ball, IMO that has never been basketball. I think they have taken it a little too far in calling hand checking and defender fouls on the perimeter when there is barely contact...IMO there must be at least enough contact to negatively affect the offensive players move to make that call.

But I absolutely agree that they are way overboard in calling fouls on the defense when the player on offense is deliberately slamming into the defender..

Yeah him getting a cm away from that one kids face screaming red in the face made JC's getting in Boat's face look like a psychologist counseling a patient.

3 for OSU definitely got his hand hit on that last layup. As others have called, some very poor officiating going on.

Man, MSU has choked hard. We know how that feels, they better hope it turns out okay for them, or this will sting bad, vs #3 or otherwise.

heady play by Craft and he was a difference maker. My big question with him is why has he never fixed his shooting form? 4 years of subpar results in college, plus undoubtedly many years previously as well?

OSU's perimeter defense is as good as I've seen in a while. Between Scott, Craft, and Smith, they have three legitimately elite defenders at the guard position. They'll be a nightmare to score on in March.

I am possibly the biggest Craft hater this side of the Mississippi, but the play he made last night diving to steal the pass off the loose ball was the first time I truly bought into the hype. It was pure hustle and a huge play. He followed it with the inbounds of Payne's back on a key bucket.

The kid does make some spectacular plays.
