for all their faults - our AD and Foundation would long for "The Rutgers University Department of Intercollegiate Athletics today announced a record-setting $30.3 million dollars in new gifts and pledges for fiscal year 2016, an 111% increase from the prior year and an 80.5% increase over the previous best of $16.8 million in 2010. The level of giving was bolstered by a record-high 9,233 donors."

Thanks for sharing, how much did Shabazz, Lamb, Ray, and Rip donate?

*Wet blanket alert*

Can't we have one thread making fun of Rutgers or Louisville or whoever without someone chiming in with the "but they're still in a better position than us!!!" comment? We all know what position UConn is in. Just let people have occasional fun at other schools' expenses, especially when it's warranted.
I'd rather be king of a crappy conference than the Rutgers of any conference. They are more of a punchline than an athletic program.

It would be great if MAL jokingly tweeted out he was attending RU on his Twitter.
That is just plain sick. Which is why I had to give it a like.

ESPN jab seems to imply Pikiell was behind the story... find that hard to believe. But I particularly like the last line...

"As desperate as a team might be to re-position its future by recreating its past, it’s best to stay in your own lane. Even if it’s the slow lane."

You are what you are. They've always been losers, a new conference won't change that. They won the realignment sweepstakes. Let us know when you get a trophy for that.
