From Scout:
Jackson said he spoke to the Connecticut staff a “week or two ago.”
“They have a lot of guards and they signed a couple,” Jackson said. “We just thought me going somewhere else would help would be better for my future.”
“I’m already in Athens,” Jackson added. “I already see the love that that fans show to basketball and football and even gymnastics. Plus it’ll be easy transition for me.”
Jackson said he’s known Mark Fox since middle school and the two have kept in touch. “It’s great,” he said abou this relationship with him. “I’ve known coach Fox since 8th grade. Even when I committed to Connecticut, he would call and ask if he could talk to me. He would talk to me about my games and tell me what I could do better.”
Jackson, a four-star guard, told Scout.com that he plans to sit out this July and instead hit the weight room and workout with his father at home.
