Why are the refs always so horrible???

Amazing that it only happens to UConn, and even more amazing that it happens every game. This team is always in foul trouble. Maybe that's not a coincidence.

Our defense has not been what we are used to
Our defense has been fantastic. We're under 8 and they aren't at 20. We can't rebound, and they made a terrible call on the Miller block. Other than that, I think the defense started weak (8-4) and then has been fantastic.

The foul call on Miller on the beautiful block was horrendous, total anticipation call.

Our guys defend hard. It works. It would work even better if they did it without fouling, but I don't think we can complain about how other offenses perform.

It seemed like Gibbs just stopped running on that last one from Hamilton.

This has not been a satisfying performance so far, but put a few good minutes together and it's all good.

I think our d has been excellent. Refs suck and they are getting boards

Has our defense really been good? They are shooting 55 percent and are +6 on the boards...

This has largely been a hose job by the officials, but these lineups by Ollie haven't been helping.

Too much iso on the offense side. Not surprised the buffs are beating up on us. We got a bad drawing and then with KU on the other side.

Get Cassell off the court, what the hell is Ollie doing?

It is a bit mind boggling. We're not playing against some juggernaut so the game can change quickly, but you don't want to let it get away with stupid plays, which is what we are starting to see now. That shot was ill advised to say the least.

Frustrating that our role players are either scared to death to get the ball (Nolan, Facey) or act like they need to shoot the instant they touch it (Cassell).

Well you're going to have odd line ups when 2 of your best players are on the bench most of the half.

For the love of all that is holy, stop putting Sam in. He is a one trick pony and he's not very good at that trick. He's guaranteed to chuck a contested three as soon as humanly possible after getting in. Unless Gibbs, Adams and Purvis all break legs he needs to stay planted on the bench. I would honestly be interested in hearing the rationale for sending him in.
