Remember these are teens and young twenty-somethings in college, not prosI thought the moment was when they take the court but point taken.

Yeah I know... I remember Jimmy V came to NC State from there. And Jeff Ruland.
She thought UConn was a 1if it was Peck, she probably thought UConn as a 2 was to high
According to ESPN site, UConn will play Saturday and Monday (if they win). Times are not set.
I agree Tennessee will be the first to go out. How did they get a 4 seed to begin with?
ND will be a sitting duck if Miles doesn't play.
Utah will upset Indiana to win the Region
SC will cruise to the final but NO other 1 seed will join them.
It’s a “nurturing” bracket!Greenville 1 is soft
I am glad to not be in the Stanford region. Lots of teams there that are best to avoid - Florida State, Georgia, Texas, Colorado, Louisville, even Ole Miss. I would be surprised if both Stanford and Iowa make it to the Elite Eight.
Hard to believe what an insipid mess ESPN made out of what could have been a very interesting show. How about we cut it from five people to three and leave out all the teams who are all doing the same thing?
I don`t get ND as a three seed but they are in with SC, so they won`t get to Dallas even if Miles makes a miraculous recovery.
Some interesting second round matchups. I like Michigan over LSU and Creighton over ND.
Very happy with UConn`s draw.
On Bob Joyce’s UConn Women’s Tournament Selection Show Debbie Antonelli proffered that the VT, UConn bracket was the most difficult, mentioning that tOSU was finally healthy and playing well.VaTech will have a tough time with UCONN but really I don't think they even make it that far. They are the most overrated team in the field and I am glad UCONN ended up with them
Iowa was #5 and ahead of UCONN as the next ranked after Stanford. UCONN was#6 between between Iowa & Utah.If Stanford was the last #1 in, and UConn just missed a #1, IOW the highest #2, shouldn't UConn play in Stanford's bracket, according to the S curve?
Maryland will be tough in the Elite Eight if both teams make it. Maryland and UConn were the two-seeds I absolutely did not want. It’s a “nurturing” bracket!
Then I stand corrected! I didn't catch that, because after all the brackets were announced, I found the show to be pretty much unwatchable. Thanks for the update.Later she made it clear she thought UConn should have been a 1.
Was glad to see 5 get in as well.Big East with 5 teams in, and 2 in the top 16 hosting! The showing in the tournament last year definitely helped prove the BE is definitely not an easy, one-team conference.

I thought I was watching Dancing with the Stars. And the hostess saying over and over "We see you girls." What a difference from the Men's show, ESPN should be ashamed over the quality of this , whatever you want to call it.They were happy showing teams showoff their dance routine rather than actual Q&A. The three answers from the committee person didn't really answer much (she could have been talking about UConn as well when she defended Stanford as #1 seed).
...by the way, Carolyn and Carter are from the SEC, since some are wondering about their allegiance to the SEC and South Carolina.
Most teams that are hosting have the potential to play two games at home. So if UConn wins against Vermont, they will then play the winner of the Baylor/Alabama Game. Thus, their two games played at Gampel Pavilion.Does UConn play one or two games at home as a 2 seed
That was Creme's FFThe brackets are, shall we say, "interesting." South Carolina, as is its due as the #1 team in the country, has the easiest journey to the Final Four. Maryland could cause about a half's worth of agita, but SC is just too good. Indiana likewise has what seems to be a clear trip to the Final Foure. I don't see Villanova or LSU as serious threats. Now if Princeton can shoot the ball, then a Carla Berube coached team could cause an upset - but I doubt it. I think that Stanford has the rockiest journey. Stanford is big and can be very efficient. However, it has demonstrated a Uconn-like penchant for inconsistency. Louisville and, of course, Iowa, present Stanford with real challenges. And now to Uconn. So much depends on whether Fudd and Ducharme can provide real offense. If they are really on, then Va Tech is in trouble. Hell, everybody is in trouble. Frankly, I think that VA Tech is going to have a tough time with Tennessee. My thought about the Final Four: Soth Carolina, Iowa, Indiana and Uconn. At that point, the gods of basketball will make decisions.
Why?Man... I normally pull for ACC teams (except for one).. but I want a UGA-Iowa matchup so bad.
Peck just said she thought UCONN should have been a 1 seed, then a minute later Creme said he was picking UCONN to go to the FF along with SC, Iowa and IND..
Surprises!
Anything can happen between now and then. I believe in one game at a time, while not under estimating any team’s potential and talents. Not sure who Connecticut paid off but congrats on your millionth consecutive final four.
I don't think they would be celebrating a 2 seed. It would be pretty quiet.I'm old enough to remember UConn shown celebrating..
Yeah, I’m thinking a team that was twenty something and 0 at one point and ended up in contention for a two seed, and who was even a tough out last year, is not in “massive rebuild mode”. Let’s face it, she could have cut every non conference opponent’s ranking in half and they would likely still have the same record. Mulkey is a remarkable coach for sure and your team (I assume) has a very bright future. It would be nice if she starts scheduling some good teams though.Eh... not really. The program is still in massive rebuild mode. They probably aren't hosting if they scheduled tougher early on working with so many new players and freshmen (8 of the 10 scholarship players are brand new)
I would call it a win for them to even be hosting year 2.
Michigan will be a tough one for them but certainly a way better matchup than last years team vs Ohio St
I think it’s hilarious how they worked this out so they could avoid giving UConn a (probably deserved) one seed but made sure they had a relatively easy path to the desired showdown with SC in the finals. What’s also amusing is that they are getting fire anyway as people are now resentful of the “easy” path for UConn to get back to the final four. Sigh, sometimes you just can’t win!Anything can happen between now and then. I believe in one game at a time, while not under estimating any team’s potential and talents.
Also, your team’s pathway is deservedly not bad. You guys earned it. Congratulations
Does anyone know if Olivia Miles will be able to play? ND won’t be so easy if she’s healthy.I'm looking over the top 4 lines and wondering who on each line is upset first.
4 line: It's tempting to pick on Villanova, but I'm going with Tennessee losing to Iowa St in the second round
3 line: This one's easy. ND goes down to Creighton in the second round
2 line: Utah will lose to LSU in the third, but I think Iowa will lose to either of Ga or FSU in the second round
1 line: This will be a disappointment, but I'm calling for Scar to lose to UCLA in the third round. It will be a massive upset and will suck a lot of the air out of the tournament. You heard it here first.
Bless you! I always knew there was something about you that I liked!I'm looking over the top 4 lines and wondering who on each line is upset first.

I beg to differ. I think Maryland will get absolutely crushed! Having said that, I do think the most likely avenue for SC to lose is them having an off night against a really hot offensive team.Maryland will be tough in the Elite Eight if both teams make it. Maryland and UConn were the two-seeds I absolutely did not want.
