I didn't see Chris Britton's name mentioned. Is he still a commit?

Didn't you see Chris Britton's name on the white board that HCBD showed the camera for about 3 seconds? ;)

Seems like we still have 3 scholarships available. Hopefully we manage to put them to use with transfers or late signings before fall.

Something I found interesting looking at the player's bios. I only saw one team captain. I remember Edsall seemed to have classes with 75% or more as captains.

My guess is Edsall, with his under the radar recruiting, needed to find over achieving leaders who he could coach up. With recruiting on the #uptick , not needed so much today.

I think we got a very athletic class who should contribute before their time is up.

And FWIW - looks like Otis Kearney didn't sign with Michigan State today.

... and for all you conspiracy theorists: DE & NG ... I don't see a DT???

This is the smallest class (numbers wise) that I can recall.

I think you're right, this one ranks with 2011 or so in #'s, but the common thing there is that there was a coaching change. I think the coaching staff has done a great job putting a class together on the job for the time they've been together. I'm also pretty sure that Pasqualoni's two full cycles of recruiting were approx. 25 players or so each. Those were big classes, so there is a bit of a correction there. There is always attrition, and we lost a bunch of players from both of those classes already, and hopefully, the guys that Diaco has pulled in for this class, the majority will be contributors.

we are going to be a young team in 2014, with a young head coach, but things looking solid moving forward. The depth charts are stacking up deep. we had big gaps before in the past 2 years in multiple units between upper classmen and freshmen.

I feel the same way.

Surprised to see Atkins at DE. The press reported him as OL when he committed.

The fact that we have a few open slots but they couldn't wait another semester on Bradford really shows these guys aren't messing around with academics. I think Diaco is bringing a little bit of ND admissions standards to UCONN football...either that or they didn't think the player was good enough, who knows.

We are ridiculously deep at WR next year. Best position on the team. Hopefully at least one of the three freshman who played last year will redshirt next year.

In case you guys don't know but wr don'yeh patterson isn't signing today and the coaches and staff know this so he could be an add for the staff. Hopefully they go hard after him. From what I've read they think he's a lean to sjsu.

Yes, but now we have set ourselves up where we must recruit 3 or 4 WR next year given Davis, Philips, Foxx and I think Abrams graduate. And we'll need a couple of them to be 6ft receivers given the underclassmen we have are on the shorter side.

It isn't about this year. We are losing 4 WR's after this year and only 1 CB.

I think Watkins is playing corner because we are done recruiting WR for 4 years.

With the 3 RBs we just signed, we won't have to pass the ball. Ever.
