Xavier did a brilliant job of spacing the floor, bringing our bigs away from the basket and getting easy inside shots and lay ups.

UConn did not. Our spacing was poor. We never brought their bigs away from the basket. And they clogged the middle. That's why we missed a lot of lay ups and short shots. They we taken in traffic.

We saw this eariler in the year with Seton Hall. It's what everyone will try to do.

Can’t bring bigs away from basket if there’s no threat of an outside shot

They have two bigs who can shoot. Sanogo is a dominant player but makes life so hard for our guards when they drive because he’s always 4 feet from the hoop

Disagree. Whaley doesn’t make them consistently. Akok is currently rehabbing, and I’ve never seen Sanogo take a three

Xavier's bigs did a nice job sealing our bigs. This created driving lanes we usually close down. Thought clearing out a defender was illegal but X made them look like post ups/box outs.

If we could consistently hit the three the wouldn’t be able to sag and even double sanogo

If only we had a coach who could adjust and see this. It's time to bring Whaley off the bench, please. He's a much better wrench in the paint 5 and we're trying to turn him into a stretch 4.

Thank you Soule for seeing the same thing as I mentioned in the chat room a few times. Nunge gets away with murder basically boxing out his man from helping in D multiple times. It is a moving pick and wasn’t called 3-4 times agree!

Reading this article this morning and you almost instantly start thinking about UConn. Spacing is part of it, pace is part of it and motion off the ball is part of it. We need all those things.
