Solid XMas related portions of movie not necessarily about XMas:

Trading Places
Lethal Weapon
LA Confidential
Harry Potter 1
Kiss Kiss Bang Bang
Mean Girls
The Godfather

I haven’t seen Toys of Terror which is right up my alley. Krampus!! Thats crazy! Thought there was a second one coming out.
The commercials are the best part of this movie.

Is XMas like Festivus?

I watch George C. Scott's version of "A Christmas Carol" every year to remind my kids and me of the true meaning of Christmas. I'm not ashamed to say I get a little emotional every time I watch it.

Among recent movies, The Christmas Chronicles is wonderful. Snake Pliskin is blend Santa and Jake Blues. The car chase, the jailhouse rock, it’s just awesome. The sequel is just ok.

Not sure I saw the Nightmare Before Christmas mentioned. Or Home Alone. But the best of them all is A Christmas Story. How has that not been mentioned?

Classics I like Peanuts all the Rankin Bass shows. Rudolph, Year without a Santa Claus, Santa Claus is coming to Town, Little Drummer Boy. Those are must watch.

For a darker Christmas flick I’ve always liked The Ice Harvest with Cusack. He nails those roles.

This is good but I like the 1951 version with Alastair Sim better. His transformation on Christmas morning always makes me smile. Love the dancing with his nephew's guests as well. I used to watch this every Christmas Eve for years while wrapping gifts and drinking Captain Morgan and egg nog.

Watching Ernest saves Xmas right now. My kids love it. Awesome. Thank you boneyard !

Yeah, that's good too, but I'm just a big George C. Scott fan, so I'm probably biased.

We just watched Funny Farm (Chevy Chase) with our daughter and she loved it. It's Christmas-y, that's for sure.

Are you looking for something for you or kids?

Ya gotta clip em off way up high!

I just watched the first 15 min, and last five minutes of "Godmothered." You might want to cut a few minutes off the front end, but it's worth watching.

So someone mentioned Fatman. I watched it last night. This is pretty dark for a Christmas movie about Santa Claus but I quite enjoyed it. Not sure anybody but Mel Gibson can pull this off. Definitely a unique take on Santa that fits nicely in 2020. The relationship with Mrs. Claus is very well done, quite genuine. Great line “You think I got this job by being jolly and fat?”.

Side note. On the off chance that any of you read the book series The Dresden Files, without saying it except in the most subtle ways, Cris Cringle appears to possibly be the same being here as in Dresden Files.

Preachers Wife, Best Man Holiday, The Ref, Joyeux Noel, Let It Snow, Anna and the Apocalypse, The Man Who Invented Christmas

Still watching some offbeat Christmas movies that I haven't seen yet, so I'll report back on any good ones
