I'll be honest, I was not excited about the hire and felt we just settled for the cheap option.

I mean, he was. But it turns out he was also a quality hire!

Cheap and high quality = good value, which is exactly what UConn needs everywhere until the program is more established.

Diaco deserved it.

Granted, he made my life miserable since. But, he did deserve the award.

For all the ups and downs we had at QB this year, a top 35 offense is truly amazing. We’ve been looking for these point totals for years. Now if we can just get ourselves solid QB play next year, we could be looking at even better numbers. It’s nice to have a competent offense again

I'll be honest, I was not excited about the hire and felt we just settled for the cheap option. I'm still not in love but I've been impressed with the offense. We're one solid QB away from being a team that can beat, not just compete, with low end P4 teams. Credit to Sammis for getting the offense to that point. Hopefully we can use some new found NIL to get a QB or hope Welliver becomes the QB we all hope he can be.

More like. There was no other option and we were lucky to get a QB coach. The timing was brutal.
