It would be awesome to see Clemson knock off Cuse. Miami came close. I love seeing traditional football schools succeed in basketball as well.

The definition of pedophile is someone older than sixteen who has a primary or exclusive attraction to those under sixteen years of age. A lot of women have a history of someone in the family categorized as an adult who sexually assaulted them when they were under that age. That person is not necessarily considered a pedophile.

Outside of the definition however, I totally agree with you that the act of developing and exploiting someone not mature for personal pleasure is repugnant. The system totally failed this kid. Bernie Fine should have been convicted of a crime.
 
I have to agree with champs' comments earlier. It was the great games that brought out the hatred. Why don't we hate Seton Hall? Because they didn't consistently win and provide quality competition. I hate 'cuse because they were the team I wanted to beat. Ditto Duke after our numerous matchups in the tourney. I wish we played both regularly.
As far as their trolls go, every team has fans that are s and overly arrogant. This may shock some of you, but we have them too.

You make a great point but I will disagree a little on this……I always respected Cuse and for years, even as the rivalry heated up, would root for them in the tourney once the BE was over.

Then I me their fans, their board and I guess I found the real Cuse. lAways knew they were arrogant but to the extent of what those idiots are, and consistently mind you, I would dnever have believed. There is no fan base on earth with less knowledge of the game and their opponents combined with jealousy beyond words………..plus add in the Devendorfs and well before they were called to the ACC I could not wait for them to get beat, loved every minute of it. See the problem is they were "good" fans while UConn was their whipping boys bout once our Huskies were clearly the Beast of the Big east they found every reason to hate JC and our program.

I don't think it's about the "great games" because while there were some which go down in history, once 1989-80 came around, then 99-04-10, UConn was clearly the best program in the BE and made the most impact nationally. Then they were no longer "good" fans but the real idiots came out of their shell. Love to have them around for some laughs, invite them!!

And I agree every team has fans similar to their but truly not half as many. They are the kings of the trolls
 
I hate Cuse because they act superior when they have 1 title, 4 players in the NBA and make #1 always shirts when they haven't been #1 in ten years. I hate Cuse because the only defense muttered In a very questionable case is that Fine was never found guilty of anything. But the real reason I hate Cuse is; have you ever been there? It's dreary all year round, downtown is completely rundown and like being in 1920 (other than a 2 block section), is surrounded by polluted lakes you can't swim in, thanks to GE, and generally just has a depressing tone there. It has a shrinking population for a reason. While Hartford isn't Chicago it is affluent, modern, has beautiful suburbs, interesting landscape and history, near the ocean and lots of non-polluted lakes and decent weather. Plus an ultra thriving state school that is setting up a downtown campus.
 
One of the most disturbing aspects (if true) was Boheim being aware of a teenage boy traveling with the team and hanging with Bernie. Who knows exactly what went on but Bernie should have been canned alot sooner.

The whole Cuse culture just seems really creepy to me...like one big orange incestual family.:eek:

Last I knew, nobody attended his point aquisitions, nor were they televised and no banners were hung. Actually, this guy probably did hang a banner in his house after reaching 25,000 points.
 
The whole "irrelevant" argument is ridiculous. Nobody, from either side, holds the crystal ball of college basketball future relevancy. I like the odds of survival of both teams. I am very pleased our new coach IS working out. We can say that being 17 - 4 and having really great recruiting classes coming in the next two years (perhaps the best ever??). Cuse gets some points for being in the ACC, they have some good players coming too but they have to go through the new coach test soon enough.

Gotcha. Clinically, we don't know what he is. On the other hand, if you're going to have sex with a 13 year old, I'm going to assume that appeals to you in general. 13 is about the age of Sandusky's victims, some older, some younger. The Clinton County kid was a Soph/Junior in high school.
