O.T. Name a University bordered by....

Colleges along lake:
Wellesley College , Lake Waban, one of the prettiest college I have seen.

Cornell University , Cayuga Lake.

University of Notre Dame, St. Joseph’s Lake and St. Mary’s Lake.

University of Wisconsin-Madison, Lake Mendota and Lake Monona.

Colleges along lake:

Okay, I hinted at it but you started it officially. Univ. of Washington on Lake Washington. Husky Stadium is often at or near the top of lists for best settings for a football stadium in CFB.

Montana is on the Clark Fork River (if you ever drive thru a significant chunk of Montana, the Clark Fork seems to be EVERYWHERE).

Can't believe I didn't think of this sooner. Gonzaga is on the Spokane River. Washington St. has a branch campus on the opposite bank almost directly across. I haven't been on campus, but the river runs right through downtown Spokane and there is a cool park with a river walk that I have been to.

Clemson University , Lake Hartwell (a man-made-lake).

Syracuse University, Lake Ontario and Oneida Lake.

.....(this could drift into campuses directly on the beach if we're not careful, I have a few of those in mind as well)

I have been at least 2, you can walk from the classroom to the beach.
Old Dominion University and UC San Diego.

The University of Cairo......Nile River..............The Sorbonne....The Sienne

Lake Ontario is about 60 miles from SU. Oneida Lake is about 20.

Onondaga Lake can at least be seen from a few places on campus but is still maybe 3 miles from campus. The SU crew boathouse is on the Seneca River, which is fed in part by Onondaga Lake.

PDQ's Bach infamous
University of Southern North Dakota at Hoople
on the North Branch Park River (its real, the town and river, that is)

PDQ's fictitious "home establishment", where he reports having tenure as "Very Full Professor Peter Schickele" of "musicolology" and "musical pathology", described as "a little-known institution which does not normally welcome out-of-state visitors". :)

UConn ... Mirror Lake. Can’t believe it went this far without mention.

Cornell is close to Cayuga Lake, but not on it. Practically the whole downtown area of Ithaca is between them. It is, however, right next to Ithaca Falls, which should count as a
River. The gorge runs right through the campus.

West Virginia University is bordered to the south by the Monongahela River.
