As a Pats fan even I am having difficulty processing this futility. There was ZERO, I mean absolutely ZERO chance Jones wouldn’t still be there at 17. Did the Giants really think they were scooping every team, every scouting department, every “expert”??? And even if they were, they STILL could have waited until 17. This is Patriots level circa 1988. Sorry guys.
 
For a while I though there might be a method to Gettleman's madness. I was wrong.

Turrable pick at number 6. They could have traded to the bottom of the 1st round, multiple times, or used their second pick.

The Giants are in trouble, too bad, so sad.
 
I like mr jones. when you wade thru all the garbage associated with both nfl and nba 'expert' analysis and the resultant drafts, the actual record of those picks is quite bad, hence the patriots. as another potential 'progeny' from the hands of the man associated with both eli and peyton, his provenance is noteworthy. give me a 6'5 er with a football brain, drive, and athleticism, and i'll give you a winning nfl quarterback for the new york football giants. we'll see, but I like the pick. a lot.

Hey I am a Raider fan. I hope Ferrell sacks the shit out of this nit wit when given the chance. LOL at the Giants. At least Ferrell was graded as a first rounder. Jones was about QB #5or 6 on the board.
