You know why the "Nutmeg State's Finest" play for Providence, right?

Because we recruit nationally and in most cases, CT kids just aren't good enough to play here.

I'd say that's some pretty fine trolling there.

First post I clicked on today, in spite of coming here anticipating a happy board after last night's game. Mighty fine tolling.

One favorite son to another

Providence averages 126k viewers a game. In other words, our women's basketball team attracted over 10x more viewers on Monday night than your team averages, and Providence is currently projected as a 6 seed in the tournament. We don't care about your basketball team, nor does the rest of America. Go away.

I'm glad no other lower seeds won today. It makes the futility that much more fun to watch. This couldn't happen to a better group of fans. The rest of the country finding out that they still have a basketball team, and it's exactly what they would expect it to be is they're greatest moment in years and years.

I feel bad for Dunn - kid's a player. Wish we had him.

It'll be interesting to see if he goes into the draft, since most places now have him as a solid first round pick. If he returns Providence will be a top 25 team; if he doesn't, they'll be a tire fire.

How you feeling sean? FriarJ came over took his lumps like a man.

7 TO's? Not pretty, needs to get to these big games a bit more. Too bad he went there because there won't be too many!;)

Am I the only one who has a hard time considering that an upset?

Nope. Count me as another who took Dayton. I know a good value "upset" pick when I see it. Home crowd, overrated 6 seed.

I always thought you were above the fray but apparently there is a part of you that enjoys a good little dig. I've stated before one of the reasons why the mods don't boot PC fans is that some of us ENJOY the ability to talk smack.
