I think the eyeballs and $$$ from the Swifties for KC games was a revelation. Engaging more women is a potentially huge money maker for the NFLI know it's slightly off topic but the investment in commercials that included female athletes during the Superbowl was impressive. Especially the message behind Nike's. Just let these amazing women play and win.
Would you prefer to see the Chiefs just stop playing by running the ball into the line 3 times and punting? If they did that, I guarantee you that Andy Reid and Mahomes would have been criticized for waving the white flag. The stat padding by KC at the end against the 2nd-stringers was annoying and petty on their end. Eagles absolutely dominated them.
Our athletic department hosted a woman's day at Burton and Shenkman. (I think you may have actually gone to once, someone on the board did.) I always thought that was a smart way to get better market penetration. I haven't seen it promoted lately. I wonder if it had a good turnout.I think the eyeballs and $$$ from the Swifties for KC games was a revelation. Engaging more women is a potentially huge money maker for the NFL
TAYLOR SWIFT SUPER BOWL PARTY 2024 — Reagan Baylee
Hosting a Taylor Swift Super Bowl party? I’ve got you covered!www.reaganbaylee.com
It's a two edged sword, I personally think that leaving starters of the losing team in the last quarter just to pad their stats is petty. Why not let your bench players into the game to enjoy the atmosphere, whether it's a UConn game or the Super Bowl?Would you prefer to see the Chiefs just stop playing by running the ball into the line 3 times and punting? If they did that, I guarantee you that Andy Reid and Mahomes would have been criticized for waving the white flag.
It’s no different than UConn’s opponents leaving their starters in during 4th qtr mop up time when they’re down 30 pts. Teams want to have some sense of competing when the game ends, whatever the final score.
First off, you don’t have backups at every position. My next thought, if you’re a 2nd string Quarterback, do you really want to be thrown into a game down 30 points where the starting QB is running for his life? Just sayin…..It's a two edged sword, I personally think that leaving starters of the losing team in the last quarter just to pad their stats is petty. Of course with the Super Bowl, the legalized gambling components may be a factor...
Swerving back to the OP.
Gotta love the gate keepers coming up with the unwritten rules, teams should do what they choose to do.First off, you don’t have backups at every position. Why risk a multi-million dollar franchise player like Mahomes in a game where the team is down 30-some point? How about giving the second string guys a chance to play in the Super Bowl?Would you prefer to see the Chiefs just stop playing by running the ball into the line 3 times and punting? If they did that, I guarantee you that Andy Reid and Mahomes would have been criticized for waving the white flag.

Mahomes is a great competitor who probably wanted to fight to the last second and has earned the right to do so.Why risk a multi-million dollar franchise player like Mahomes in a game where the team is down 30-some point? How about giving the second string guys a chance to play in the Super Bowl?
Yup, he didn't want to be remembered for getting beat in the Super Bowl by 34 points, after his sack and fumble in 4th led to a 40-6 Eagle lead with only 8 minutes left in the game.Mahomes is a great competitor who probably wanted to fight to the last second and has earned the right to do so.
Emptying the bench is not really a tradition in NFL and Super Bowls. Sure it happens, but you just don't have the same type of game stoppage, exit star to ovation, in comes bench, that exists in bball. Why risk a multi-million dollar franchise player like Mahomes in a game where the team is down 30-some point? How about giving the second string guys a chance to play in the Super Bowl?
No.Does anyone else remember Geno and Kia Nurse singing a duet of Fly Eagles Fly several years ago? Looked for a video but couldn’t find one.
Wasn't it after the Eagles beat the Patriots in SB LII in 2018?Does anyone else remember Geno and Kia Nurse singing a duet of Fly Eagles Fly several years ago? Looked for a video but couldn’t find one.
