Amen.

It's almost hard to contemplate UConn basketball without Jim Calhoun. How many programs were all but assured to have the better coach on the sidelines every time they took the court?

Outside of UConn and Duke, I would say that number is zero. And inside UConn and Duke, I would say that number is one.

Jim Calhoun has earned a very long, very happy retirement.

It it starts tomorrow, thanks for everything, Coach.

Hear Hear Fishy.......what a run it was.

Amen is right.........+100000000000000000000000000000...............

I am still kind of dizzy from this whole thing, but I agree. JC was the best coach we could of asked for, and I will be forever grateful to what he has done with this program. We have all grown to love you JC, and I wish you a long, happy life after basketball. Thank you.

I'm actually glad he's leaving and happy for him personally. He has a wonderful, tight-knit family, charitable ventures and deserves to relax and bask in the limelight a little bit. After the last title run, it would be virtually impossible to put a cherry on top of the sundae and his health should now be the #1 concern for all of us.

He's given us a hundred times more than we deserved. Enjoy the vaca, JC.

That man single handedly put this school on his back and carried it into national prominence. Thank you coach for, outside of the birth of my children, and meeting the woman who bore them, some of the happiest moments of my life.

He'll have lots of time to recover and hang with the grandkids. And drive Pat crazy.
