They get smoked at UNLV and then lose to Kentucky.

They then get nine straight home games where they beat teams like Elon, Nichols, Monmouth and Boston College...for this, they are ranked #3.

Head out for their first road game in about six weeks and they get torched by Florida State.

Let's see what the AP and ESPN voters do with that. My guess is that we're giggling Monday when UNC drops about five spots.
 
Unfortunately, they'll probably get to the Sweet 16 on home games alone. From there, because they'll be a 1 or 2 seed, they'll probably get a 12 or 11 seed, and get into the Elite 8.

To be fair though, while some teams coast into the Elite 8, no one ever gets to the Final Four without a real team in front of them (except, maybe, 2004 UConn).
 
If I had to bet on it I would say UNC is at 5. I think UConn will be at 13/14 also, heck with all these upsets maybe higher. We looked good this week.

Good point. They could not win a game outside North Carolina the rest of the year and still make the Sweet 16

What a bloodbath. I think we'll move ahead of Michigan, but not UNLV (losing to a ranked opponent on the road).
 
Last year UNC was 15-0 at home and 14-8 away from the Smith center. This year they are undefeated at home and have lost 3 away games. They are a totally different team away from the Smith Center.
 
MSU had all they could handle at home against Central. I can't take them seriously.
 
Had to listen on pre game on ESPN how NC is favored for final four. The "experts" again. Then Digger how Notre Dame is going to beat us. Was Uconn mentioned once in the FS-NC game?
 
WHO CARES ABOUT UNC?
They are ACC scum, hence ESPN biatches. The worse the ACC does the greater the potential for an upcoming media bidding war between NBC and ESPN for the rights to broadcast the BE. And that only means more money for UConn. So let all the scum and potential scum go down. Unless of course UConn gets an invite to the ACC and then that conference will be nothing but gems, excluding BCU, Duke and the traitorous armpitts.
