Yes, but they are not state flagships. They both play second fiddle in their own state.
I was just clarifying your list as it related to state institutions... I get what you're saying about flagships but there are instances where state schools noted named University of "X" are stronger than their flagship's athletic programs (over multi-decade spans): in FB ASU over UA, VA Tech over UVA, etc; in BB Pitt over Penn State, Michigan State over UM, etc. But, to your point, most state flagships get more long term grease within their own states and generally outperform their in-state brethren.

A lot of ‘dont’s’ in that article and a weak ‘do’. No one can predict the future but $30 M is $30M for a broke AD running unsustainable losses

Hard to find a dumber person than Forde.
It's amazing that the known Uconn/Calhoun hater, shill for Louisville/ Pitino is still spining fake crap like this. Hey Pat how about a deal ?
Uconn to the ACC/ and Ville to the Big 12 or are they back from that death penalty yet ?

P.S. --bet the ACC would take that deal yesterday, LOL!

Hahah.. so Louisville is going to pay the ACC exit fees and open itself up to litigation to make a lateral move payout-wise? Bless their heart.
Why would you say that when no one else is? The significance of #8 is that is raises the possibility that they could dissolve the ACC. No exit fees. No litigation. No lame duck conference. And they join what would clearly be the #3 conference.

"#CardNation just became the eighth team to put the #ACC's existence into serious jeopardy."

This is the longest stretch women’s basketball has gone without winning a title. Time for another one.

@uconnhuskies tweeted it- not sure why they would delete
They missed the Lakers won in 2002 and forgot to include the Spurs. They have since tweeted it again although folks may take issue they are still missing the LA Galaxy (MLS). Just more of digital team not fact checking what they post.

Articles like that make me think there is real smoke here. Haters want see UConn stay broke.
I don’t think that is what this is. Forde is mistaken but he’s probably a college sports romantic- he wants to see geographic leagues.

Well that's long dead. USC and Rutgers are about to play conference games against each other. So are Texas and Tennessee.

The ACC has been rumored to view UConn as always being available if they wanted them because of Geography. We know B1G ain't calling no time soon. The 12 is a potential lifeline and for him to crap on UConn like that is total BS.

21:30 mark Aaron Torres on UConn to Big 12 pros and cons.

I think this guys take is spot on.
The ultimate situation for us is full membership in the B1G. We are within its “region” and all of our sports would flourish. Joining the Big 12 would give us the funds and ability to be competitive in all sports. Invest the funds in making football competitive in that league including national branding. Also invest in achieving AAU. That’s the best opportunity to get the B1G’s attention.

Losses credibility when he talks about how UConn left the Big East and talks about the Big East how the Big East Media deal is giving each program $8M a year.
Yeah, his numbers were off quite a bit.

If he pulls through a truck sized car wash I will completely buy in.
I reflexively click "like" every time someone makes a car wash reference. Talk about being conditioned... geez.
