Non-Key Tweets

Someone like Jon Fanta or a former administrator who would have no idea lol
Nah, he actually has connections. I get that his info is not what we want to hear, but acting like he doesn't speak to people in power is foolish.

Well, in that vein… UConn Football wouldn’t have to leave the Big East for that to happen ;)
If this is part of the deal (and I personally would love it) I imagine it would need to be official very soon (end of July would be pushing it) as we would need to do quite a bit of shuffling with our 2024 football schedule.

We have lousy football schedules lined up for 24’ and 25’. A quick move for football move would be great for us. It would also come at a time when we should roll out a good team that can compete in the B12 pretty well.

Current:
8/31 at Maryland
9/7 vs Army
9/14 at Duke
9/21 vs FAU
9/28 vs Buffalo
10/5 vs Temple
10/12 at Wake
11/26 vs TBD FCS team?
11/2 vs Georgia St
11/9 at UAB
11/16 off?
11/21? vs or at Syracuse
11/30 at UMass

Hypothetic revised B12 schedule (choosing who to break up with has political elements beyond my purview).
This would be tough - no breaks.

8/31 vs FCS - noon
9/7 vs Army - noon
9/14 at UMass?? - 3pm
9/21 vs Iowa St - noon
9/28 at WV - noon
10/5 vs Cincy - 7pm
10/12 at Kansas - 3pm
10/19 off
10/26 at Baylor - noon
11/2 vs UCF - 1pm
11/9 at Houston - 3pm
11/16 vs Colorado - noon
11/21 at BYU - 3pm

flights:
WV
Kansas
Baylor
Houston
BYU

Every season there will be either four or five B12 away flights.
Sandwiched the by week with away games.

Looking at the 2023 B12 schedule, everyone plays their OOC games the first three weeks of the season, then switches to a full in conf schedule the rest of the way. I could see as an accommodation to UConn and perhaps BYU that these programs can play one conf game week three on the road to help spread out their travel a bit.

Can anybody tell me why I can not see the
Key Tweets Thread anymore?
If I look it up it’s says “oops you have run into a problem.”
It is literally not a visible thread on my phone any longer

Did you accidentally put it on Ignore? Go into Your Account and Scroll down to Your Ignored Content.

I just hit refresh and it goes away.

Would love Syracuse and Maryland over an FCS and Army having 11 P5's our first season sounds less than ideal, so I understand why we'd likely drop them, and small but I think we'd play WV @ home last game was played in Morgantown but I could be wrong, I'd be excited by this all n all.

If nothing else, some of the national media and some of sports fans across the country have started to accept UConn to the Big12 as a good thing/possibility. It might be people finally overcoming to their initial gut instints and also being educated about our AD, credentials, value, facilities, potential on the gridiron, etc. Another respectable/bowl eligible fb season will take it even further.

I’m like that with new ideas at times. At first I’m like No way. Then as I ponder, it’s like well, alright, it might work. Acceptance?

This clown has not been right once in over 20 years of posting about realignment.

I think he’s right on this one though. I posed this same theory to you when you asked what Colorado is waiting for a week or two ago. They don’t want to do something foolish.
