    With just the two new additions and once adequate content has been bought back, B12 network could bring in $125m per year by year 4

Tulane? For a possible future Big XI with no ACC teams, a tiny local market, some Big XII oil belt alumni/fans, very good academics, some northeasterner alumni, and a good away destination. Otherwise?

Michigan lost a lot of seats a few years ago due to widening of some aisles, and... fatter people.

This happened during and just after the major renovation and suite expansion so it was a modest net gain that was slightly offset by a small loss when all was said and done.

Wider isles is more about ADA required access that my fat arse getting around. When Michigan Stadium was last renovated, ADA was a major issue as the stadium was grandfathered until the new renovation took place. Then, it had to be in compliance.

The seat with was also increase, to almost 18 (that's right 1..8) inches! Just enough room for most to inhale (air).

“Almost all seats in the bowl will be widened to some degree. Ticketholders will gain between a quarter of an inch and just over an inch in each seat, depending on where they sit. Seats along the sideline areas will gain the most width because of the shape of the bowl. When the project is completed, seat widths will range from just over 16 inches in the student section to just under 18 inches along the sidelines near the top of the bowl.”

@Timhinds4 @LJSooner62 @stevenczyrny @Mike_ohio26 @alexbrowns19 Still waiting for the Press release saying BH is studying UC & UCONN.

Christopher Lambert‏@theDudeofWV
@Timhinds4 @stevenczyrny @Mike_ohio26 @alexbrowns19 According to the B12 the firm has not been tasked with analyzing specific schools.

Timothy Hinds ‏@Timhinds4 · 1h1 hour ago
@theDudeofWV @stevenczyrny @Mike_ohio26 @alexbrowns19 Cincy G2G if expansion happens in next 2/3 months

Christopher Lambert‏@theDudeofWV
@Timhinds4 @stevenczyrny @Mike_ohio26 @alexbrowns19 Wrong. Expansion not on the table unless the network is a go.

Christopher Lambert ‏@theDudeofWV · 31m31 minutes ago
@Timhinds4 You are wrong. BH is tasked with analysis & best configuration. I contacted B12 to clarify.

Christopher Lambert‏@theDudeofWV
@Timhinds4 They confirmed BH was asked to make recommendations on feasibility.

Christopher Lambert ‏@theDudeofWV · 35m35 minutes ago
@Timhinds4 Including network profitability with different combinations of configurations.

Christopher Lambert ‏@theDudeofWV · 35m35 minutes ago
@Timhinds4 BH has not been asked to just value UC & UCONN.

Christopher Lambert‏@theDudeofWV
@Timhinds4 @stevenczyrny @Mike_ohio26 @alexbrowns19 BH's report not due until May.

Christopher Lambert ‏@theDudeofWV · 36m36 minutes ago
@Timhinds4 The B12 will not even consider expansion before the issues with a network are resolved. If they are resolved.

Christopher Lambert ‏@theDudeofWV · 33m33 minutes ago
@Timhinds4 And the network issues may take as much as a year to work out.

This can't be true because @theDudeofWV tells us Big Ten TV ratings are no better than B12 ratings.

flame away.

On Feb 15th we tweeted out OU said Boren was winning...
Do you think Boren would have something to Tramel if he wasn't?

And our OU contacts (feeding info to BTM) have been telling you since Spring of "15" Big 12 expansion will happen for FB 2017.

Greg Flugaur ‏@flugempire · 10m10 minutes ago
And as you can see in the Tramel article which I gave linked....Boren says decision will be made by this Summer.
In time for....FB 2017.

Bearcat Ed ‏@BearcatEd_30 · 8m8 minutes ago  Reading, OH
@flugempire in other words schools have already given their notice

Greg Flugaur@flugempire
@BearcatEd_30
No...they have not. No invites yet..not official.
But OU contacts have informed us it's UC/UCONN.

Greg Flugaur‏@flugempire
@BearcatEd_30 Exit fee on short notice to AAC will be expensive...a stickler. But 2017 will be a B12 year for UC/UCONN

Greg Flugaur ‏@flugempire · 8m8 minutes ago
There is a reason why..for the first time since we broke the B12 Wrestling Exp news 8 weeks before others..we on Feb 15th could say UC/UCONN

I've followed Flug's tweets for a while, and this is the first time he's made a definitive prediction on expansion with specific teams making specific moves on a specific date. He's bucked the trend of the WV pinheads and others out there who throw everything and the kitchen sink on Twitter. Instead his information has been very general, nonspecific when it relates to X school is going to X conference. You'll remember most of his information was along the lines of, there is a belief that X school is a good fit for X conference, or X school would add value in X category. We'll see if he's right, I have no idea if his line of contact into OU is real, he's a B1G guy so it's a bit of a stretch. On the other hand, he's been right before with his specific predictions.

I think a good degree of skepticism is both warranted and healthy here.

That said, I'm with you that rumors with specific timetables and names are usually worth a second look.

Yes and yes.

The main thing holding me back from letting myself believe (for now) is that even if Flugar, BTM and BTM's contact at OU are real people who actually work in the Big Ten and at OU's athletic deparment, it's still only OU's point of view. Flugar has been consistent about saying it's the Big Ten's perception of the Big 12 or OU's perspective. It's great if OU has UConn and Cincy in the top 2, but it isn't enough.

If May or June comes and the B12 announces they will make a decision on expansion but not on what to do with the LHN, it would be a sign that Texas and possibly others are still resisting and that might be bad for expansion. Particularly for UConn, because UConn needs a B12N to be a realistic possibility.

Bluevod‏@Bluevodreal
Jim Harbaugh has the SEC and ACC so rattled that it is becoming a topic in the expansion talks. Now that is a #harbaugheffect

Gerald McKinley ‏@Gmoneyri Feb 11
@Bluevodreal any new substantial talk on expansion?

Bluevod ‏@Bluevodreal Feb 11
@Gmoneyri not really still same names but I would think it starts heating up soon. No timeline or deadlines yet.

Gerald McKinley ‏@Gmoneyri Feb 11
@Bluevodreal what would be the first domino to fall?

Bluevod ‏@Bluevodreal Feb 11
@Gmoneyri that is the question once the first falls then it's dominos. BTN has a top school in their sights can hey pull the trigger?

Gerald McKinley ‏@Gmoneyri Feb 11
@Bluevodreal are you able to tell me or dm me what school or at least conference?

Bluevod ‏@Bluevodreal Feb 11
@Gmoneyri Texas is the prime jewel.

Gerald McKinley ‏@Gmoneyri Feb 11
@Bluevodreal your right they would lead to a bunch of dominoes falling and soon. Gut feeling on likeliness?

Bluevod ‏@Bluevodreal Feb 11
@Gmoneyri on Texas not sure maybe 40% but movement of so sort I'd say 70% it's about money they want large TV markets.

Gerald McKinley ‏@Gmoneyri Feb 11
@Bluevodreal makes sense. We'd have the entire Midwest thru the southwest and northeast.

Bluevod ‏@Bluevodreal Feb 11
@Gmoneyri Oklahoma would come with them.

Mr. Scrap ‏@stevebardon Feb 11
@Bluevodreal any guess on expansion teams?

Bluevod ‏@Bluevodreal Feb 11
@stevebardon Texas, Oklahoma, Flordia State, Boston college, Georgia tech, Virgina all names being mentioned.

Mr. Scrap ‏@stevebardon Feb 11
@Bluevodreal so really there could end up being 4 major conferences. Can't see Illinois staying in Big 10. Missouri would have been good

Bluevod ‏@Bluevodreal Feb 11
@stevebardon I think a super 4 is the end result.

Matthew D Carlson ‏@mcgoblue Feb 11
@Bluevodreal if they got those 6 teams could they go for a national deal?

Bluevod ‏@Bluevodreal Feb 11
@mcgoblue what do you mean national deal? I see 4 super conferences with 20 teams each as end result/goal.

Matthew D Carlson ‏@mcgoblue Feb 11
@Bluevodreal getting full rate in all the states, not just in the states with teams.

Matthew D Carlson ‏@mcgoblue Feb 12
@Bluevodreal for the BTN. Sorry.

Jonathan Albers ‏@Albers23J Feb 11
@Bluevodreal @MichiganNation2 link?

Matthew D Carlson ‏@mcgoblue Feb 11
@Bluevodreal hearing anything more on expansion?

ME: Say what you will about the WV twitter trolls but at least they're fun and entertaining. These yahoos just spout out a wishlist of names and think they're all that. And the Harbaugh worship is nauseating. :eek:
