That kid needs to find some new quotes. He used the "I am taking my talents to..." as well. Nothing shocking, but he did announce his decision via his hair.
 
I haven't looked at the story / news on ESPN. I don't have to. I assume that he is going to UK. Seriously, is there any need for the top 5-10 recruits every year to have a press conference about it?
 
Bad move on his part. Everyone is going to expect him to be the next Anthony Davis. It is impossible to live up to those expectations. No matter what he does next year, he will be considered a disappointment. No win situation for him.
 
Little OT but did anyone see Shabazz Muhammad make his decision...seems like a well-spoken and humble young guy. Hope things work out for him since he ducked the Squid and Puke.

Kid is going to struggle next year IMO from what I've seen of him. Won't be on Davis' level obviously, dont' think he'll be on Cousins' either.
 
calipari has had the number 1 recruit in HS the past 5 years, no? Was Rose and Wall #1 outta HS?
 
Noels is raw on the offense side, kind of like drummond

Night and day regarding the interviews of Muhammed and Noels.......can easily see why Noels is a Squid believer too!!! New England kid who didn't mention a PC or UConn - can't root for him sorry. Hope the pressure of replacing Davis hammers him his freshman year and he doesn't deliver........

A year from now he'll be declaring for the NBA draft, and he'll be a few months away from being a top 5 pick and multi-millionaire. Even if he isn't as good as Davis, even if he doesn't win a championship. That still sounds like a "win" situation to me.

C'mon. He's what, 18, and you are saying you hope he flops. There is a big difference between not rooting for a kid and wishing failure.

Kid shaved uk in his head for his announcement. This means it was uk all along (with AD leaving), and all other schools were being toyed with.

I got some "inside information" from a student at my school who is related to Noel (I teach outside of Boston).

Noel made up his mind months ago. It would only be Georgetown if Davis stayed.

Noel and Mohammed wanted to go to the same school. Noel wanted Mohammed to go to UK with him, and (here's where the details get admittedly murky) Mohammed was okay with that only if his academic (or NCAA?) issues kept him out of UCLA.

They anticipated there to be some issues, so they scheduled announcements close together because they were both going to Kentucky (perhaps context for the "shock the world" comment).

Anyway, there weren't issues, so Mohammed went to his first choice.

Keep in mind that this story (which sounds right, more or less, to me) is Nerlens to family member to me, and the Shabazz stuff is Nerlens' interpretation of Mohammed's words to family member to me.

Listen John Clayton nobody cares about your oversized head or the fact that you stalk twitter and sit outside of training camps to get inside information which you decide to put in quotations as to somehow makes you feel special that you know something irrelevant that everyone else will know in ten minutes. Earlier you stated you are a teacher and I'm going to take a wild guess and say you are a history teacher after reading this post and seeing how much you care about what if's or analyzing how things could have played out. The fact remains is that its already happened and your analysis is more worthless than the Brazilian Real or Ozzie Guillen trying to apologize to the Miami community and Elian Gonzalez' family after his Castro comments. Even if your insider information is correct I could care less just like you trying to make a difference as kids get through your class and forget everything they learned, including your name and anything you did for them. That being said I can't even imagine how much more pathetic you are typing back on your dirtied up keyboard that smells like Cool Ranch Doritos, than my image of you based off your posts.

Not failure, wouldn't wish that on anyone (mostly lol) just not a one-and-done as I'm sure he fully expects...........just said can't root for him not by any means pointing to "failure"

I was really confused by the responses I was reading until this. Made me realize that there was probably some asshat responding to me that I have ignored.

Thanks again to temery for showing me how to ignore people.
 
Does ignoring someone also block what they write when it's quoted by someone else?
