No Ceilings Interview With Jayden Ross

Can't help but be impressed by this kid. His upside potential as a player is so high, but hearing how he conducts himself in an off-the-court setting just makes me all the more excited. He's got great size, explosive athleticism & has the staple of being a knockdown shooter --- all qualities that the NBA covets greatly. Seems like a great ambassador for the program & I can't way to see how he develops under Hurley. Exciting times to be a Husky!

He’s in the 80s in the 247 composite. But yeah on their own rankings he’s still outside top 100.
Rivals has him at #80, On3 has him at #42 and ESPN has him at #80. He's #113 on 247Sports. Not sure what other scouting services 247Sports uses in their composite but assuming they use all those in their composite you can see why he's #81 on the composite.

On3 clearly is the best of the 4. ;)

Excellent interview. Kid did a nice job and Jayden is obviously a tremendous kid. Glad he’s a Husky and can’t wait to watch him and his game mature!

And with video

Jayden Ross seems like an awesome guy. Oozes personality and character.

Real good interview both ways.

Interesting how Ross reflects that he wants to work on his handle and finishing and his defense "is consistent" but he wants to improve. I didn't realize that he saw himself as a two-way prospect, which is another element I'm excited about in addition to his shooting.

For marketing purposes, I'd rather call him a #113 ranked recruit. Because when he shows out, it's a feather in our cap for how bleeping good our coaches are at talent identification and--more importantly--development.

These "expert recruiting sites" actually kinda suck at ranking players other that the Top 10-20 or so. It's actually pretty comical.
