Not their best game, but they just out-willed Florida over this last eight minutes.

Closed on a 20-5 run and held UF scoreless over the last 2:43.

I'm impressed - they seem to be following someone's script...

Nobody else I'd rather see win it.

Go Louisville! They are gelling as a team. Behanan is becoming a star.

Of the remaining teams:

Louisville
Baylor
Ohio State
Kansas
Syracuse
UNC
UK

Flip UNC with UK, and this is exactly my list! I just hate UNC more, that's all...

Should have seen this coming, team peaks at right time, wins BET and parlays it into a nice tourney run.

I couldn't pick them with visions of Davidson fresh in my mind.

Pitino with a JC like well placed T to top it off.

The Big East has at least one team in the Final Four 4th consecutive year and 9th in last 10 years.

This is crazy. I think the conference went the whole 90s with two Final Fours -- us in 99 and Cuse 96, unless I'm forgetting one.

Honestly, if it weren't for Calipari, I'd be with you. UK's kids are actually a likable group of players. But Calipari...

During the Big East Tournament Siva and a couple of other guys came and sat in front of us. He saw our Uconn gear and said that they were going to do what we did last year. I am now rooting for them despite Pitino.

Watching the game, I give props to Pitino for some of his in game adjustments, something that I thought was lacking with UConn this seasons. As much as I'm not a big RP fan, he's done a nice job with a team that lost 2 or 3 players this season. Granted, he had a roster of like 16 scholarship level players with a few deciding to play their own way to add a few more bodies, but a lot of team would feel sorry for themselves for losing some players, but they always seem to compete regardless.

I hope the make our Conference proud and win the damn thing for the BE.

Pitino is a great coach. I just don't like the guy...at all. I don't want them winning it this thing, but the venom between him and calipari should they play in the semi's would be great.

I agree with you... I had a lot more animosity for previous teams b/c there was a quotient present (Cousins, BKnight, Harrelson, etc.) These kids play together, sacrifice their stats together, and have checked their ego for the big prize. And, they are damn good.

Remember when Boeheim and a bunch of the SU fans dismissed the Big East Tournament as meaningless?

The last three years, and five times in the last 12, the team that has won the BET has gone to the Final Four.

Meaningless? Ah, no.

2012: Louisville
2011: UConn
2010: West Virginia
2009: UConn, Villanova
2007: Georgetown
2005: (Louisville)*
2004: UConn
2003: Syracuse, (Marquette)*

I only count 8 teams that were in the BE when they made their Final Four. Am I missing a team?

*Not yet members of the BE.

I don't think you can fairly count Marquette or Louisville's 05 appearance.

I'm not, but I don't know how he got to 9 unless, perhaps, he thought Louisville was in the BE a year earlier than they actually were.
