Anyone know the name of the ref in this pic? I believe he once flipped me off.
And in relation to the Maya vs. Skylar demeanor - pictures don't do it justice - video would.
come on... now its video, give it up people!

hard working GOOD players have a lil diva-tude in them... ALL of them!

oh nooooooooooo not the chest bump

DC on a rollllllllllllllllllllllllllllll !!!!

hahaha now we're taking it in another direction... when faced with facts lol
Yeah, facts. Facts like Maya won a lot of conference trophies and two NC trophies. That's called backing it up. Let's see if Diggins can win any.

.-.
Hey DC while you are at it, post some pics of Maya with a trophy or two.
We interrupt our regular DC chiding of UConn fans for their homer bias with an image of Medalist Maya.

We'll return shortly to DC's campaign to show that Mean Maya and Snarly Sue aren't any different from the nasty street people UConn fans think other schools put out on the floor.

Oh, it's pure homerism as I'm sure UConn players do the same stuff, but I don't mind it as much.

Sneering (ok, that's my interpretation), complaining about calls in an over the top way. Mostly facial expressions and body language.

I know, petty bull. I'll try to do better.
I agree DD. Skyler is a great talent but she always seems to be pouting or complaining - she's a master of the annoying facial expressions imho. Fans tend to hate their rivals the most and Notre Dame is now our biggest rival in the BE!

this is what I can understand... but putting the blame on Diggins is unfair. All while the coach is a "dear Philly friend of 30yrs"

I didn't mention ONE player in my post.

Monday night at the XL will be very loud and UCONN will now prove who is the best team in the BE..........

.-.
Maya, Candace, Tina, Diana, Brit, EDD, Sue, etc. all have the game. Players like Prahalis and Diggins do not. once they win 2 or 3 NC's, WNBA titles, World Championship rings or Olympic gold medals, then we can make apples to apples comparisons.

i really don't like Parker at all, but she has the game to back up anything she says or does. the jury is still out on Diggins. my bet is she never leads her team to a single NC. this is really her last shot as ND graduates a host of seniors this year (Peters, Novasel, Mallory, and Miller)... unless any of them are redshirts and can come back next year......

Brit is Brittany Griner? Are you counting her USA national team champioinship to qualify to be listed with Diana et al? If so, how can you discount Diggins' gold medal - as a team captain - with the World University games (Novosel and Mallory were also on that team, btw)? Diggins has two more golds with USA Basketball, with the U19 team (was also co-captain) and the u18 team.

And she (Skylar) got to the National Final game last year as a sophomore. Her on-the-court accomplishments are certainly at the same level as Griner or EDD at this point, really much better.

Good players come with a variety of personalities -- Derek Jeter and Manny Ramirez, Tim Tebow and Joe Namath. We had Diana, who was always more over-the-top than Skylar Diggins or Devereaux Peters has ever been. We've also had Rebecca and Sue and Maya, and they have had Ruth Riley and her teammates in 2001, all of whom were model citizens in their on-court conduct. Novosel (regardless of the way she draws fouls), Mallory, and Achonwa seem to be in that same mold on this team.

Let's allow players to be themselves, even on the court.

The game doesn't even start until after 9 o'clock, on a Monday night. I wonder how loud, and for that matter how large, the crowd might be. I will be doing my best to make it loud.

Terrible timing!! I have class!!

Watch Kelly during a game and count how many times she fiddles with her headband.
Unless it gets knocked off of her head, I think it's her way of refocusing. It gets her back to her Happy Place.

and Diggins doesnt do it for "refocusing" or to get her back to her "happy place"?

I never said Skylar didn't. I have also never seen Kelly change her hair style at half-time because of a poor first half performance or watched her stomp off the court like she was King Kong or even smile during play (OK maybe once). :D

I know these kids are ultra competitive or they would not be at this level. However, I have never seen a player at her level as being such a sore loser as Skylar. Removing runner-up medals and setting them at her feet during awards ceremony after losing the championship game (High school) or refusing to shake the other teams hands after losing the championship game (college). There is a pattern here.

Your facts are getting in the way of people being objective.

ND football and all sports are basically hated like the Yankees and the Dallas Cowboys. They are a franchise folks love to hate.
Wow, what a sicko I am, I root for ND football and the Yankees, am i the only one as you stated most folks. Must have done a study. MTBS

I root for the Yankees, Lakers, Alabama football, Duke basketball, Steelers, UConn WBB, and Manchester United

i did not know this, or do not recall it if i did read it. i knew i didn't care for her on court demeanor, but if that's her personality and it's occurred several times, then it's more than just an aberration.

Don't get me wrong Eric. By all accounts everyone (almost) loves Skylar and the person she is off of the court. She is very smart, super cute, dedicated, driven and wants to be successful. She does not like losing and when she does, I think (IMO) that is when the worst side in her comes out. There is a respectful way to lose and not like it. She hasn't found that out yet.
