Go to your account and go to Seat selection. You can see but can't do anything until your slot.My selection time is in a week. How are people seeing what is currently available or not?
The real slap in the face to long-time supporters when they switched to the seat donation model is that they effectively diluted old priority points by 90%. Pre-2018, it was 1 point per $100 donated. Now it is 10 points per $100. For the most part, priority points meant almost nothing over the past 6 - 7 years, until the current re-seating process.Had forever family seats since 1965 until 2023 - Never thought UConn would treat people who spent so much for so long like crap. Spoke with Benedict about it before we cancelled and he more or less told us to pound sand.
Now I sit and watch it on the big screen without the traffic and the cold. Not my preference but it has allowed us to travel a bit more!!!
I feel for all those who have lost their seats, especially when the term "forever seats" was used even by DB himself. True Colors.
I'm not upset anymore just glad my father didn't have to deal with this crap.
I also wonder how many would be looking for three seats. Somebody picking far behind might get premium seats because of that technicality.
Same! And people around me as well -Still a week to go for my slot and I see that my FOREVER SEATS have been taken.![]()
That is a really drastic move to go from center court basically to end of court and switch sides. We will be going from center court 109 to 119. Probably our last year.
Womens tix in the same section.
What's forever for?Still a week to go for my slot and I see that my FOREVER SEATS have been taken.![]()
Yes is is. But the seat donation only dropped $100 per seat. That is a really drastic move to go from center court basically to end of court and switch sides.
Evidently not for my forever arse. What's forever for?
That is because the selection goes by donor level category, then point totals in the donor level. Basically, someone who donated $100,000 for the first time last year will pick ahead of someone who has been donating $25,000 a year for 30 years. As Cief00 said, it is very odd to be top 15% in Priority Points and not in the first 50% selection days. Wut up?
That's not completely accurate. For seat selection, they are going by cumulative priority points, not donor category. The issue is that post 2018 priority points are worth 10X more than the older priority points. Before seat donation model, you got 1 PP per $100 donated. Now you get 10 points per $100.That is because the selection goes by donor level category, then point totals in the donor level. Basically, someone who donated $100,000 for the first time last year will pick ahead of someone who has been donating $25,000 a year for 30 years.
You may want to check your math. That is because the selection goes by donor level category, then point totals in the donor level. Basically, someone who donated $100,000 for the first time last year will pick ahead of someone who has been donating $25,000 a year for 30 years.
Keep your review of the good seats to yourself!FWIW
Sections 116 and 117 on the aisle between them at GP are really good seats. Especially the first 8 rows or so. Near the UConn bench with a great view.
I sat there for several years and loved them. Everyone who sat there loved them. Section 114 would offer the same view of the court, but you're not near the uconn bench
That process only applies to Big East, NCAA tournament and special event games ( like at MSG )... I think highest level picked first and then it was priority points regardless of donor level...and for what its worth 100k donation would equal same points as 25k for 4 yearsThat is because the selection goes by donor level category, then point totals in the donor level. Basically, someone who donated $100,000 for the first time last year will pick ahead of someone who has been donating $25,000 a year for 30 years.
I was gonna say SHHHHHHHHHHKeep your review of the good seats to yourself!
I'm a week from today and dreading it. Even if I score the exact same seats, these guys are not getting any extracurricular donations or support like buying/donating bowl tickets, just because they put me through this BS.I just looked at the latest ticket map and I'm getting really pissed. My time slot is next week as it sounds like a few of you have. There are still like two weeks of people picking seats after me. Can't wait to get my new "forever seats"![]()
I am at 2pm today.....def nervous, angry and flooded with mixed emotions.....fingers crossedI'm a week from today and dreading it. I highly doubt anyone would get a sign like that I to the arena.I feel like we should get signs printed up we can hold up at the first game
“PISSED ABOUT LOSING OUR BELOVED FOREVER SEATS”
or something to that effect
Let's create a tshirt...I highly doubt anyone would get a sign like that I to the arena.
Maybe people should pool their resources and buy the naming rights to the Civic Center and call it "Forever Seats Arena".
