Second day. Gampel Premium Seats are going....about 100 off the board yesterday. Just frustrated years and years of work and money to finally get good seats and it was all for nothing. If I don't get good seats don't see why I would continue to donate at the level I have.

The sad thing is that many felt good about donating because there was a sense that you were supporting UConn but after all of this how can you feel good about contributing to a place that operates this way?

agree 100%. Told my husband, who is picking Thursday, that if we can't be in lower seats in Gampel, we'll just skip it. I had center court forever seats and I loved them. So we'll see what happens. I will just reduce my donation, and direct my donation to the hockey program, which is the sport I'm most passionate about. The week after I got the letter than my forever seats were no longer forever, I received a letter from UConn, asking if would consider including UConn in my estate planning. Yes, I'll put it in my forever will.

Comment of the month. I’ve got to remember that one forever will.

Agree we pick Tuesday, which is 2 days after you since Monday is a Holiday. We were in 121 last 4 years and loved them. gonna be some tough decisions ahead.

I think I'm in 109. In front of the cameras. I'm not sure how long we've had the forever seats, but it was when the team was struggling. I think that's why UConn made the offer of "forever seats." People had jumped off the bandwagon. God forbid, what if it happens again?? Will the million dollar donors still be there?? Doubtful.

Anyone know (might be lost somewhere in this thread)

1) What are the hours to select each day? Like 9 AM to 4 PM or longer?

2) How many people (accounts) select each day?

TIA, if anybody knows

Narcissism? You don’t know the meaning of “?” marks. What they mean is I am asking questions. I did state some appropriate reasons for unavailable seats that I am very familiar with (player & coaches families, visiting teams, former players, students, certain university officials) but the red dots exceed those reasons.
How do you know they exceed the reasons if you don’t know how many are allocated for those reasons

I do know the approximate size of player seats, coaches, recruiting, visitors categories - and the number of unavailable seats pre selection far exceeds that - many multiple times more.

Basically, UConn has changed the fundamental seating rules twice in five years, so we have had three (3) seating schemes in 6 years. Seems like a business run by a revolving door of mediocre consultants that keeps making mistakes.
@zls44 - if you could get a million dollars each time you are wrong / you would be a billionaire.

The end long term result will be the opposite of the result they are trying to create - more money. And that assumes someone doesn’t do a class action - that would be a house of cards collapsing.

So 50% lower bowl was allocated to NIL sponsors and major donors before priority points kicked in--never revealed as small donors were encouraged to increase priority points in order not to be displaced--duplicity.
Agree, can’t say you are doing by Priority Points and do 50% of population by something else.

And to think that our tax dollars were used in what is likely an illegal scheme to add Premier Seating - to remove loyal Seat for Life UConn fans and taxpayers from the buildings is beyond ironic.

We'll have to do a poll after this closes to see the range of "thrilled" to "pissed off enough to stop getting season tickets"
There is another category here: people who will reduce or stop donations as a result of how this was handled. Some may accept a reseating location for their tickets but then change how or whether they will contribute.

Exactly....I was all set to up my donation to All American status but if my seats are not good what's the benifit of giving that much money. Yes I will buy tix but they will lose me as a loyal donor. Should have told us they were going to hold back that many seats. I gave them money for what seems no benefit.

Sure you do. Mmhmm.

I bet.

Go ahead and sue them. Go ahead! File the class action!

You won’t.

The only guarantee from this is UConn is going to make a ton more money by doing the reseating/premium seating. That is a lock.

How many 11:11 AM home games do you think UConn will have this year?

LOL - So you are UConn’s financial adviser, that explains a lot.
I was not talking about what I would or wouldn’t personally do. What I was commenting on is the unnecessary litigation/financial risk UConn is now exposed to.

That's where I'm sitting. They'll only get upper level donations from me.
