Interesting to see they are moving the benches in the Civic Center to the other side of the court. I've enjoyed listening to Calhoun and now Hurley from section 115 for 30+ years, might have to look into changing sides.

I am scrolling thru some of the availability. Why are so many seats throughout Gampel already taken? Not talking about sections like the students, visitor tix., family/friends behind the bench. The selection process allegedly starts on 5/19 yet a ton tix are taken in all different areas of Gampel both upper and lower bowls.
I think you're referring to the example page they used in the explanatory video. I don't think that is the actual current status.
The one I went to only showed the student sections, the lower half of a section behind the UConn bench and a small section high up in the lower bowl across from the visitors bench as unavailable.
Hope I'm right..........

Unfortunately you are not correct. It was not a video. It was me manually clicking on each section in Gampel - there were random seats reserved throughout the arena. Some full rows in the non student end zone and a few others elsewhere. This will be…….interesting

I Concur. I looked at actual inventory and called my ticket rep. I'm not concerned about the women in either arena, I'm not concerned about the men in Hartford, but I was shocked to see how many tickets have already been taken for the men in GP. Even my safety seats section, where my "forever seats" are located, some seats are taken

Way more already allocated in the lower bowl than I anticipated. It's conceivable I might just decide to go upper level sidelines rather than the back of the lower level. I pick Thursday at 11:30

Any info from the ticket rep or was is just talking points?

What did your rep say?

I wasn't the first to call, so others had the same concerns. No real details, mostly what we know about seats withheld with one possible exception. Evidently the million dollar donors already picked. But, IMHO, that alone wouldn't account for all the seats already allocated in some of the sections they've been allocated. Like baseline and 2nd level seats

Do they give corporations or million dollar donors additional seats beyond their primary elite seats?
I am in the top 15% at XL of priority points yet there is 2 weeks of selection before me and 2 weeks after me. The rep said that could be due to women’s only fans. But, kind of a stretch of fate to think women only fans are bigger donars. If so, why not charge them more for seat donations and tickets? Makes no sense.

Evidently yes

Those are really good questions that should be answered. As I believe someone pointed out earlier, I believe the email back in March did not say anything about corporate partners being part of the ticket holdback. It was only after people made their contributions to improve their standing that the email said corporate partners were part of the allotment. None of the reps were clear on what the holdback was at any point. All of it appears to have been intentional: get people to contribute and be vague on the holdback and leave out that corporate partners get tickets first until it is too late. At the bare minimum, they held
back info on the amount of the tickets that would be allocated before picking times start.

Don’t be so sure. Some donors are really pissed about how deceptive this reseating process was.
When you start a process by breaking your word (seats for life) it tends to follow that downward trend after that. There’s so many ways to do this without alienating your most loyal fan base but the Three Peat narrative clouded what should have been transparency. And to think they were doing all this to give us 1-2 inch wider seats. LOL

I'm not happy with how UConn has handled this but how do you expect them to reseat everyone when they lose 2 seats per row in the lower sections?

I will say that we did need handrails at Gampel and people were constantly tripping on the rickety stairs. But the seats going wider? That’s stupid. And the cushions I suppose will be nice but certainly not necessary. I think a big part of it was so they could shuffle us around and have a reason to do it.

They could just been candid about the estimate of how many seats would be heldback, especially the corporate seats. Imagine if they allocated all of these seats a
month ago and were honest with people about what was left. Donors would still be unhappy but at least people would say that they were honest about it. Of course, they would not have raised as much money if they did it this way.Now everyone knows without any doubt that their mission is get money in the door and they will lie to their most loyal fans to do it( for example “forever seats” “we have no idea how many seats that we will lose or how many will be held back”). They probably raised a lot of money but I know that there are many people who won’t be so charitable the next time they need money like during COVID or during a downturn in team performance. Wait until they come calling when revenue sharing kicks in.
