That is a shocking one to me. I expect ucla to be better than usc next year. One thing though… I do think usc has a better grasp on nil than ucla does.

with juju out awhile, more playing time available for a PG at usc?

Londynn Jones could be saying in post game interviews “we’ve got this girl JuJu who may be trying to fill my spot on the team, next year”.

Absolutely. While Caldwell at Tennessee gets some attention for this CTT was one of the first. Takes a lot of energy to play defense 100% all out.
One of Oregon’s only two losses in 2019-2020 was to that system in Tempe. Al Mcguire famously used that platoon system in prehistoric times at Marquette… called it the”scrambled eggs”.

I'll bite...who is CTT?
Stanford point guard who started her head coaching career at NAU before heading down i-17 to Arizona State University. Retired with 500 plus wins and I believe her 500th win was a triple overtime victory in Tempe over the Trojans.

A tremendous victory. One of the high points of Sun Devil history. This is one of two of my greatest memories in what was then called Wells Fargo arena. That weekend we also knocked off Oregon State who I believe was ranked.

CTT and her team were dreaded opponents particularly in Tempe. Our personnel was never as highly regarded as the pac-12 but our coaching was supreme.

The second Great memory I have in Wells Fargo arena was Robbi Ryan leading the Sun devils back from an 18-point deficit on my birthday in 2018 I believe out scoring Utah 20 to nothing in the fourth quarter. There was also a former Connecticut Husky on that Sun Devil squad.

I love the Huskies but I bleed maroon and gold.

Would love to hear people's thoughts on this one. I'm having a hard time gauging Kentucky.

It's a really good move, unfortunately (surprised to see a player like Tonie want to play for that man). Kentucky should maintain their position in the SEC ahead of Tennessee, Alabama, Vandy, etc.

OT I believe that Dean Smith used the 5 for 5 substitution scheme too at UNC.

Which in this case translates to having ridiculous amounts of cash to toss around.

How Iriafen was worth 800k for one year is one I’ll never understand.

Nice pickup for Bart Brooks and Belmont. She's a grad transfer from Tennessee who graduated in three years, one at Pitt and two in Knoxville. She's perfect for Belmont's system and will thrive in the Missouri Valley. I watch pretty much all Belmont and Lipscomb games, usually on replay via ESPN+, so I'm excited.

I didn't like her as a coach on the sideline, I felt she whined constantly at the refs. But as a Head Coach in general and person, really admired her, including for her support of Rutgers during the Imus situation. We had the opportunity to thank her in person as she was doing color for an Arizona game the last year of the PAC and our seats are on the opposite side of the announcer's table. So after the game, on our way out, we stepped over and very briefly thanked her, for which she seemed quite appreciative.

Sorry, but when she was at ASU, we rooted for Sun Devil WBB as long as they were not playing my Cats. We also rooted for Sun Devil Softball when Clint Myers was the Head Coach. Now, I don't root for them in anything.
