Interesting. I thought she’d follow her HS friend, Jada Williams.

For a guy who recommended several restaurants to me in Winston-Salem years ago, that's not simply not going to get you a cordial served around dinner on the porch this spring! Plus, we're at 5 ( count rehabbing Leah Macy coming aboard)!:rolleyes:

We'll see if some folks are visiting this weekend. Coach Ivey can drive you to the ends of your patience on this front, but she is thorough and has brought in good results in the portal before. The trouble is -- at least this year -- she needs at least four or five people.

Now, about that refreshing adult beverage? ;)

BTW, I like Cowles. Tall, athletic and runs well, which would fit in well with Hidalgo, Prosper and Bransford. Cowles played well against ND this year, which Ivey undoubtedly noticed. That's what got Liatu King noticed by Coach Ivey last year, too.

I'd better keep my mouth shut as Duke is currently at 10 down from 14..

You got a good one. Offensively, Breya could score from anywhere in the paint and Arizona developed her hook shot to something really nice.

Arizona's issue with her was that she was foul prone - as one of her teammates explained it on Adia's radio show, Breya never met a shot she didn't think she could block. Plus, she did reach-ins when she wasn't under the basket. In spite of coaches and teammates mentoring her, she never did correct either bad habit. Unfortunately, unlike Texas, Arizona didn't have a lot of other options, forcing players to play out of position, etc. But she couldn't be "benched" until she fixed it. I'm sure Vic will be much more successful at that.

I know you mean well, but somehow your description is less "a good one" and more "a project with upside potential." The snarky me was tempted to say she's a perfect fit because Vic won't force her to develop an offensive game more than 5 feet from the basket...

I don't view her as that much of a project. She developed her body, her moves, her shot and everything else that was asked of her. It was the fouling. Isis Beh was her main mentor and she said it best - there are some shots you can't block, so you just have to let them go. There are others that you might block, but you have 4 fouls, so you need to let them go. But there were no consequences at Arizona for not correcting. I don't think that will be the case at Texas.

I don't know how good or bad her mid-range is. She took some and made some, but it wasn't the game she was developed for. Entry passes and quick shots, pick and rolls, etc. What Vic won't require is a 3 point shot I suspect, and gaining one can be useful. Beh did develop one, for instance and it can make a difference in a game. But it isn't Vic's game.

S Smith from LSU to UVA. Didn’t see that one coming.

Didn't see it either, but after her work with Lattimore last season, I can understand why Smith would be interested in playing for Coach Mox.

Meanwhile Kierra wheeler the Norfolk St player who announced she was following her coach to Auburn, then decommitted a day later, has now ended up at WV.

She posted a pic of money rsining around her. I wonder what that means? lol
