An observation from someone on the outside looking in. I'm afraid I'll have to agree with 01Neaggrad02. I read it the same way. I've written several posts that did not read the way I intended it to. I got called out on them.

I knew what I was trying to say, but after re-reading it, I saw how it could be perceived differently. Readers don't know what we mean, unless we write it so there is absolutely no way it can be misconstrued. Those instances made me focus more on how I was writing, and how it would be perceived. I've also learned that when a poster makes a comment on one of my posts, not to take it personally. That was not the case when I first joined the yard. I've become a much better writer since.

I realize you are comfortable with the way you wrote your subject line, but you must also be aware of the way it's read and perceived by others. The mod adding a question mark at the end made it read completely different. Perception is reality. Two people looking at the same hand gun will see it differently, depending on which end of it they're looking at. The guy looking down the barrel will come away with a completely different point of view than the person holding it.

YOU know what you were trying to say when you wrote it, but it was not perceived by others that way when they read it. Write whatever way you wish, but be prepared to be challenged by readers if/when they have a problem with your choice of delivery.

So, by position, we have (in alphabetical order in each category):

Guards: Bent, Chong, Dangerfield, Lawlor, Nurse
Bigs: Butler, (Camara), Collier, Irwin, (Stevens) -- parenthesis denote that they are inactive in 2016-17
Swingers: Samuelson, Williams

If this team (of 10) can get to the FF next year, then the coaching staff will have done a miracle job!

Dangerfield 5'2

I had to look at that twice.

Good things come in small packages. She figuratively and literally looks up to Mo at 5'7". I understand she has cat like speed and reflexes. If this is true, she's going to be a nightmare for opposing guards to try and defend.

Heh heh heh. :p

The roster is up!
I don't understand how someone can think I need help pronouncing Kia and not give me help pronouncing Azura'. Azura' is going to be wearing #23. did she have to get permission from KML or Maya or both?

From this, I would conclude that there is no depth problem at all in the backcourt.

There is a problem with depth in the front court, with only three eligible players for two positions (the 5 and the 4). If there is foul trouble or even a minor injury, this could be a problem.

It's a good thing that UConn has the "swingers", and that they are versatile. But I think we can predict that both Lou and Gabby will be required to play outside their comfort zone quite a bit this year. Lou may not like to play in the paint, but there will be games when she will have to do it. Gabby may not like to defend players that are 5 or 6 inches taller than she is, but sometimes she will have to do that.
I understand why you bunch a lot of players under "Bigs", but only Natalie is listed on the site as a center, and the rest of your bigs are listed there are as forwards or guard/forwards. I think there are (at least) 2 important distinctions (one "good" and one "bad") between your categories and those on the site:
1. Good: The site's designations suggest a more fluid, faster team. For example Napheesa is far more a slasher than someone setting up in the paint. She's no more a "big" than Lou, except that she is far better at timing rebounds. And, if Napheesa is a "big", then why do you put Gabby as a swinger?
2. Bad: When we do need muscle underneath (esp. against SC and Baylor), we have only Natalie (and perhaps Kyla).
