This aka 25 yards. ? Although prior to WWII, 20 yards was the short course standard in the US (pretty sure the pool in Hawley Armory was 20 yards). Anything less than 20 yards/60 feet is basically worthless for lap swimming. I'm currently dividing my workouts between 25 yards and 50 meters. The long course is kicking my a*s, but getting me in shape quickly!Surprised that nobody yet has said that 50 feet is too short for lap swimming. 75 is a common length.
