My take on this: they saw the overall positive reaction people had to them bringing back the husky dribbling design and thought "oh people want the husky anthropomorphized!" but totally missed what people liked about that design.

I actually really like the current design. Its an improvement from the previous logo. I never cared for the tongue hanging out of the previous logo.

I'm a bit surprised the marketing dept came up with another new logo(s). The current logo still seems brand new to me.

Is this their way of saying the current logo has been a failure?

Dislike them both for many of the reasons noted by others. Would never wear anything with those logos.
With that said, put a large beer glass in the hand of the husky on the left and I will revisit my decision. Then it would look like something guys would sell walking through the dorms, like my long gone 1980's "Huskies do it Doggy Style" gray t-shirt.

I know this is a logo thread, but going back to the Big East we need to bring back a modernized version of the uniforms from the early-mid 1990's...The Big East teams have great alternate uniforms, very classic and traditional.

the old one was a white alaskan malamute, the other popular "husky" breed. they are much bigger and tougher than samoyeds, which are also in the spitz family but are not referred to as huskies.
